General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sam (Kelly Monaco) will be tormented by her fears and regrets. She won’t know how she’s supposed to handle all this without Jason (Billy Miller). When Sam’s mind goes to a dark place, Jason is usually the only one who can pull her out of it. His reassurance is often what saves Sam when times are tough.
Unfortunately, Jason just isn’t in a position to help right now. In fact, it looks like Sam will have to make it on her own for quite a while. General Hospital spoilers reveal that Sam will mull over a major decision. On September 18, Sam will consider her options and make a choice that leaves her completely devastated.
Based on other GH news, it seems this involves putting Jason in a long-term care facility. Sam will realize that Jason isn’t coming back to her anytime soon. Sending Jason to an institution is the last thing she wants to do, but it’ll be for the best. Sam and the kids will have to say a difficult goodbye.
Of course, General Hospital spoilers indicate that Billy Miller has a big story coming up. It’s just going to take some time to get to that part of the plot. Steve Burton (ex-Jason) is set to make his GH comeback and it appears he’ll arrive shortly after current Jason departs. This is obviously a significant development.
There are a few ways General Hospital could take this. It’s possible that Burton’s character will be another comatose patient at the institution. There’s also a chance that Burton’s character could serve as a doctor. However, Burton was seen sporting Jason’s signature black T-shirt during his first day back on set. That’s normally not doctor or patient attire.
The show could’ve been shooting a fake flashback or something along those lines. Still, there would be value in putting Burton’s character back in Port Charles alone. By taking current Jason out of the picture, it will leave Sam especially vulnerable. The arrival of Burton’s character should hit her hard.
GH’s latest promo tells us that Sam could be hopping the train back to Crazy Town. It shows her threatening Carly (Laura Wright) and insisting that she won’t let her take Jason away again. Sam previously targeted Sonny (Maurice Benard) and now it’s Carly’s turn to take some heat.
All the stress is really affecting Sam’s fragile mental state. That’s why Sam just isn’t up to taking care of Jason herself. With Carly’s encouragement, Sam will have to admit that eventually. Nevertheless, her health will remain a huge issue this fall.
Jason should be in for a shock when he wakes up down the road. There’s plenty of double Jason drama left to play out, so Billy Miller fans will just have to be patient.
