General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal John J. York, who portrays the beloved character of Mac Scorpio on the ABC daytime drama series has announced on his personal Twitter account the birth of his grandson, Elijah Gabriel. Along with an adorable photo he shares that mom, dad and baby are all doing fine, but gramma and grandpa are a MESS!
On Father’s Day this year, he revealed his excitement by posting on his social media a photo cover from June 1992 Soap Opera Magazine of John and his wee daughter; telling his fans and followers that his baby was about to have a baby of her own; some shared their sentiments of remembering when he became a father.
General Hospital spoilers share that John J. York has always been open about his family and life including pictures of his daughter Schyler’s wedding in November 2016. Fans of York and his character Malcolm “Mac” Scorpio last saw him on General Hospital when he appeared earlier this year at the wedding of his niece and step-daughter, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and PCPD Detective Nathan West (Ryan Paevey). He is a very well-loved by everyone in Port Charles having ties to soap opera superstars like Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner).
GH’s John J. York has been the only actor to play Mac Scorpio, debuting in February 1991. He currently manages The Floating Rib but is known mostly for his role as the Police Chief of Port Charles; a role now filled by Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine). Who wouldn’t love to see Mac back full time on the ABC daytime drama series especially working with the PCPD or the WSB?
