General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Julian Jerome (William deVry) is not as dead as GH viewers think. On Monday’s GH, it definitely looked like Julian fell to his doom but the ABC soap has a shock in store for fans, according to some spoilers for down the road.
Not only did Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) watch Julian go over the edge, but Olivia “Liv” Jerome (Tonja Walker) fired off a shot as she was grappling with her little brother before he fell. It appears that Julian was shot, fell a long way, and his body is long gone.
Without a body to bury on a soap, that means the character isn’t dead. It may seem that Julian is gone for now and William deVry is exiting the show, but that might not be what happens. In a recent podcast, Nathan Varni offered some Julexis spoilers that contradict this death.
Varni revealed that the Julexis love story has more to reveal and that it will continue unfolding for many weeks and into the Spring. Nathan Varni mentioned that there is more story to come and said this story will address the question “Will true love win the day?”
If Julian was dead, that question would be pointless. There have been a number of hints that William deVry might leave the show since he has some other projects in the works, but nothing official has been announced about his leaving the show. deVry might not be gone at all.
Could Julian be back for May sweeps? It seems likely. Otherwise, why would GH showrunners have invested so much story and show time redeeming Julian only to have him die? It doesn’t seem logical. Upcoming spoilers support the conclusion that Julian survives.
After Julian plummets, supposedly to his death, Alexis fears the worst about her ex-husband’s fate. Later this week, Alexis is ready to learn the truth about Julian’s ties to Liv prior to her revealed resurrection last month. Alexis heads to the bank with the key.
Alexis will retrieve the safe deposit box Julian left for her and inside she finds a lengthy letter Julian wrote to her knowing Alexis would likely read it after his wicked older sister killed him. Julian told Alexis not to read it until he was missing or dead.
Now Julian is missing and presumed dead so the time is right for Alexis to read the truth. Liv has been controlling Julian for a long time. Liv is the reason he had to break his promise to Alexis to stay out of the mob and why he started back with the Jerome cartel.
Liv is also the reason Julian wound up putting a knife to Alexis’ throat and why he went off the rails, killed Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) and all of the other heinous actions he’s taken over the past year. Alexis will see that Julian was trying to shield her.
All of this information will culminate in Julian being redeemed in the eyes of Alexis, Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco), Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) and his other loved ones, but it seems like it’s too late since Julian is, by all appearances, dead.
Why bother redeeming a corpse? It makes no sense. Look for Julian to return like the proverbial phoenix from the ashes for May sweeps but maybe even sooner! Share your comments on the revival of Julexis and the return of Julian from the dead.
