General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that some good news is headed Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) way. He’s been doing his best to cope without Maxie (Kirsten Storms) in Port Charles, but it’s been pretty difficult. Nathan should be enjoying newlywed bliss right now, not struggling with a long-distance relationship.
Fortunately, Amy (Risa Dorken) recruited Nathan for her advice column ruse. That gave Nathan something to do and provided some airtime for Ryan Paevey as well. Nathan fans were undoubtedly happy GH gave him a storyline while Maxie was away. The Man Landers plot hasn’t exactly been exciting, but it’s still been fun to see the lighter side of Nathan.
However, that story is winding down and another big one is just around the corner. During a live Facebook chat, Kirsten Storms teased that she’d be returning during the week of July 24-28. Now it looks like we can nail down the exact date. GH spoilers reveal that Nathan will get a wonderful surprise on July 25. This delightful shocker will be Maxie’s homecoming.
Nathan will be overjoyed when his wife finally runs into his arms. He’s missed Maxie terribly and she’s missed him, too. Maxie will certainly have questions about Nathan and Amy’s crazy project. There could also be a bit of an adjustment period as Maxie and Nathan get back to married life.
Of course, none of that will matter initially. Nathan and Maxie will just want to celebrate their long-awaited reunion. Since they’ve spent so much time apart, it seems likely that they’ll hit the bedroom soon after Maxie’s arrival. General Hospital will probably want to show off that “Naxie” chemistry to keep viewers coming back for more.
Nathan and Maxie will find happiness again, but drama must be looming. GH never lets couples stay content for too long. Luckily, it sounds like their marriage will remain on solid ground for a while. Perhaps Nathan and Maxie will have to tackle another type of crisis together.
Since Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) intends on hitting Finn (Michael Easton) where it hurts, her evil plan should involve Hayden (Rebecca Budig). Once Dr. O inevitably goes too far, Nathan will have to deal with his mother’s disturbing behavior. He may lean on Maxie for support as things spiral out of control.
