General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, January 9 reveal that the show that should have aired on Friday, January 6 will be a hot one. Minion Winston Rudge (David Lee) gets a searing punishment from the lady mob boss after he reports his failure.
Homeless guy Buzz (Don Swayze) tells “Father” Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) that he heard the lady mob boss order Rudge to kill him. Rudge tells his boss that he’s searching for Buzz but can’t find him. She’s furious and pours hot tea on his hand injuring him.
Rudge is clearly scared of the woman and promises to take care of Buzz and also to take care of Jason Morgan (Billy Miller). Back at the soup kitchen, Buzz tells Curtis and Jason about the secret entrance to the shop and how they can sneak inside.
Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) shows up in time to hear some of this and then tells Jason she’s more certain than ever that her dad Julian Jerome (William deVry) had nothing to do with the bombing that killed Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig).
Sam is worried and says Julian seemed genuinely scared for her. Curtis and Jason think Julian was threatening her and the baby but Sam says no way, he was worried and wanted to protect them. She says the lady mob boss is the real threat.
Jason snaps and plans to go shut this down. He doesn’t want Sam and the baby at risk. Sam wants him to be careful and says he’s usually not. Sam gives him a kiss and Jason and Curtis use the catacombs to creep into the pawn shop and they find something shocking there.
Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) tells Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) to trust her heart with Franco. Liz decides to surprise Franco but she walks in on what would have been Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin) and Dillon Quartermaine’s (Robert Watkins) first time making love.
Kiki and Dillon are shocked and scramble for their clothes. That throws cold water on the encounter and Kiki and Dillon decide maybe they were rushing things a bit. Franco is with Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) discussing his suspicions about Tom’s death.
Alexis Davis (Nancy Grahn) gets into a bitter fight with Julian over her boozing habits. Julian threw out all her wine and vodka and she’s in a rage. Alexis tries to walk out and Julian says he’ll call her daughters and Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) and expose her dirty secret.
Alexis flashes back to Tom Baker (Don Harvey) in the alley outside Gene’s Roadhouse. Tom reminds Alexis she almost slept with him last time she was drunk and pulls a knife to force her. He’s ready to rape her, but Alexis kicks his butt.
Alexis turns the tables and gets the knife that he stole from Franco (Roger Howarth). The last memory Alexis saw in her drunken haze is her waving the knife. Since Tom was stabbed in that alley, Alexis thinks she killed him.
Alexis will confess to Julian that she thinks she murdered Tom. Julian will step up to protect her in a big way, perhaps confessing to the crime himself. This is the point that Alexis hits rock bottom and realizes she needs help.
As Alexis and Julian bicker, GH spoilers reveal he lets slip the gender of Sam’s baby and it’s a little girl. There will be more on this soon when Sam gets into harm’s way as part of the new mobster plot and her life is at risk although the baby is fine.
