General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the ABC soap is moving forward with an intriguing mystery. The show still hasn’t revealed the identity of Oscar’s (Garren Stitt) mother, but his father might be the most interesting part of this puzzle. It feels like GH has been spilling a few clues lately.
When Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Oscar first started to bond, he was quick to point out that his dad had never been in the picture. Oscar admitted it again during his chat with Josslyn and Carly (Laura Wright). He added that his mom didn’t like to talk about his father, so it’s clear that there are some issues she doesn’t want Oscar to know about.
Perhaps Oscar’s father has no idea he exists. His deadbeat dad may be an oblivious one instead. General Hospital buzz also hints that a long-lost child storyline may be in the works. That could easily tie in with this plot. Is a major character about to find out he has a teenage son?
Let’s look at some options here. Some GH fans have suggested that Oscar could be AJ’s (Sean Kanan) kid, which would offer some exciting story possibilities. It would add another Quartermaine and provide a new brother for Michael (Chad Duell). Other viewers have thrown out Ned (Wally Kurth) and Franco (Roger Howorth) as father candidates. Those options would stir up some drama, too.
However, there’s one contender who seems to be the frontrunner. General Hospital chose to include Oscar in Spencer’s (Nicholas Bechtel) kidnapping storyline and there may be a good reason why. Could it be so Oscar had a chance to meet potential Daddy Dante (Dominic Zamprogna)?
After Oscar provided his tip, he headed over to Carly’s place for a tense chat. During the grilling session, Oscar stated that Dante was really decent to him. He definitely thought Dante was a nice guy. Since GH made sure to include some Dante mentions, he makes sense as Oscar’s possible dad. That would mean Oscar has already met Grandpa Sonny (Maurice Benard) as well.
It took some time, but Lulu (Emme Rylan) found Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) and managed to bond with her. Will General Hospital lead Dante down a similar path?
