General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Maurice Benard, who portrays Sonny Corinthos has taken to his personal Twitter account to share his excitement about working with his “brother” Steve Burton again. Steve Burton, who portrayed the original Jason Quartermaine/Morgan also responded saying there is nothing better than Maurice Benard. Isn’t it great to see the bromance between Maurice and Steve never faded in both reel and real life?
The good news is that Steve Burton is back filming on the GH set as of today, August 14, and everyone is super excited to see what he will bring to General Hospital. There seems to be nothing but love for Steve Burton and fans are ecstatic to know that he will be back on our favorite ABC soap opera General Hospital very soon; the question is who will he be portraying and what will his return mean for all the loved ones he’s left behind in Port Charles.
General Hospital spoilers tease that Samantha “Sam” Morgan (Kelly Monaco) is in a very fragile state, slowly recovering from the parasitic disease toxoplasmosis. She is also married to the man who she believes is Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) and now shares an infant daughter, Scout with him. How will Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) react, especially since she has such incredible street smarts and a great intuition?
GH fans have argued quite a bit when it comes to the character of Jason Morgan; while some feel there is no one who could play the role other than Steve Burton and others have fallen in love with Billy Miller’s version of Jason. Who do you prefer, the stone cold version Burton portrayed or the softer, more compassionate version Miller portrays?
General Hospital sources reveal that some fans are actually hoping that when Steve Burton returns, he could be enemies with Sonny, and truthfully who could blame him? It would make for a great storyline, since Burton’s Jason died after being shot by Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and being kicked into the icy waters off the docks. Jason always seems to suffer and be punished for his association with mob boss, Sonny Corinthos, so why wouldn’t he have a vendetta against the crime lord upon his return?
All we know for sure is that Steve Burton and Maurice Benard cannot wait to be working together again, regardless of where the storyline takes them.
