Six months later and everything has changed since the last season of “Into the Badlands”. But Sunny’s new masters made the mistaking of unshackling him. They had thought he would make a great picker however Sunny wasn’t too good at accepting authority and, more importantly, he didn’t want to die out in the mines. So he rebelled the first chance he could. Sunny had fought the moment he had been freed and he had killed many guards of there however he had been in unfamiliar territory and was no longer in prime condition after months of being starved as well as beaten. And so he hadn’t gotten away that first time.

However, Sunny didn’t let that deter from trying again and he wasn’t afraid to getting help from the guy he found himself shackled to because he had a mission. He was trying to make it back to Veil, the baby, and he had also wanted to rescue M.K. from the people that had taken the young man away. So Sunny was set on escaping and he had a lot to live for in the meantime yet M.K. might not be in as much danger as Sunny thought. Sunny had thought that his colt had been taken by people that wanted to use his special abilities and in fact he had been taken by people that knew how to help train him.

M.K. could gain a great amount of strength and agility with one mere cut. Yet, he loses some of his life force if you will every time he tried to use said power and so the temple he was in now was good for him. M.K. was with people like him and they knew how much it cost to use their abilities though none of them were controlled by Barons or forced to kill. So M.K. was in a place where he could find peace and its not that surprising that he would want to escape the first chance he could. He was worried about his friends and he hadn’t known what had happened back in the Badlands or that a new war that was about to break out.

Ryder had apparently convinced everyone that he had taken out his own father and Jacobee. So he was now a Baron of three territories and was considered to be the most feared, but Ryder’s new reputation was all based on a lie. He hadn’t killed anyone. Ryder had just been lucky enough to survive M.K. assault against everyone else because Sunny had been there and it was Sunny that had killed Baron Quinn. Though with the disappearance of both Sunny and M.K., Ryder assumed power in their absence and had gotten Jade. Jade was the smart one and she also knew how to manipulate him into letting her lead.

So Jade was the one that was maintaining the new Baron’s image however there was only so much she could do with the cog problem still in abundance. The cogs were still abandoning their posts and thereby Ryder’s territories in exchange for what the Widow could offer them. But the Widow wasn’t happy with merely taking cops. She also wanted her territories back so she made a move against Ryder when he and Jade were visiting the oil fields and she managed to separate the two. And so the Widow could have killed Jade to make a point and instead all she did was ask Jade to deliver a message.

The Widow had wanted Jade to tell her husband the Baron that she had reclaimed the oil fields and that she wasn’t going to give up control of it. However, the bloody conflict wasn’t going to end just because the Widow overwhelmed Ryder’s men. She wanted more than what had been hers and so did the other barons. So they were going to keep fighting over what brings them power and prestige yet the Widow had set herself up as someone than was different than anyone else. She told her people that she believed in more than titles and that meant she didn’t want there to be anymore Clippers, Cogs, Dolls, or even Barons.

The Widow had wanted to return to the way things were back when they were all equal under the thing called law. Yet, some Clippers had gotten angry about that. They liked the hierarchy because it meant they had privileges when no one else did. So some of the Widow’s Clippers had decided to leave and the Widow had had no problem with that. Tilda on the other hand had wanted justice for what some of the Clippers did to the Dolls so she chose to follow the men that left and she ruthlessly killed the lot. And that said more about Tilda’s newfound confidence in her ability to lead than anything else.

Though things wouldn’t have gotten so out of control if Sunny had been around. Sunny was the one that adhered to all the rules and he had been brutally loyal to a fault when his own Baron betrayed him instead of the other way around. So Sunny was trying to get back to the Badlands and reclaim what he had lost however he was trapped in the mines with people willing to betray at the first second and so Veil had been left alone. And Quinn had risen from the dead just to be there when she gave birth to a bouncy baby boy that Quin was hoping would turn out like Sunny.

THE END!
