Prince William and Kate Middleton are still dealing with their marriage trouble, as they’ve just both confirmed that they no longer have date nights. Instead, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said they usually stay home at night to watch television and eat take-out instead.
During an interview with BBC DJ Adele Roberts both Prince William and Kate Middleton admitted that they don’t go out very often. The last concert they attended was to see Coldplay at Wembley, and that was last year. Instead, they tend to spend their Friday and Saturday nights at home watching either ‘Homeland’ or ‘Game of Thrones’ while eating their favorite curry takeout. But because of security precautions, they don’t have their food delivered directly to Kensington Palace. Clearly, romantic date nights at posh restaurants are a thing of the past.
Prince William and Kate Middleton’s relationship has always had its ups and downs. The last time they enjoyed a night out was back in February of 2016 at The Crown Inn, a short 15-minute drive from their home in Anmer Hall.
Plus, Prince William has made it clear that he’s not the romantic type, either. He never shows Kate any affection in public and almost never hold her hand, either. If that weren’t enough, William never wears his wedding ring. And apparently, it’s because he hates wearing jewelry. Still, many royal critics do think that he could at least show Kate Middleton the respect that he cares by wearing his ring on a necklace around his neck. Yet, when it comes to doing anything special for his wife, it seems as though Prince William is just not interested.
Of course, only Prince William and Kate Middleton know all the details of their marriage arrangement. But considering how they have a team of nannies and assistants to help them with their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the Duke and Duchess could go out for a date night if they wanted to.
Then again, at this point, the spark in their marriage might be gone. That, or Prince William simply doesn’t want to be bothered by putting in the extra effort when it comes to showing his wife that he still truly loves her. As his wife, Kate still wants to be treated like a queen, whether she admits to it or not, and that day is a long way off.
