Kate Middleton made an appearance for the 1851 Trust, a charity that’s associated with the America’s cup race and Sir Ben Ainslie. Kate Middleton has been taking a break, but she’s willing to show up for Sir Ben Ainslie at any given time.
She also made an appearance at the Trooping of the Colour, the annual parade that kicks off the Queen’s official birthday. Still, it’s not her actual birthday even though celebrations have been taking place in the UK most of the year. Kate Middleton’s two children, Princess Charlotte, and Prince George, were the ones to steal the spotlight though.
Prince William has also been doing more work than usual. Kate Middleton is usually the one who makes several appearances throughout the week so she can take another break. Prince William was told by the Queen to step it up. Earlier this year, Prince William was criticized for taking off on a ski trip with his male friends and leaving the royal family behind to do their civic duties. Maybe he’s finally learning from his grandmother and from Diana.
During the 1851 Trust event, Kate Middleton was spotted talking to a group of children, reports the Daily Mail. It seems like we always see her interact with children more than adults these days. One boy asked her how many cars she owns. She gasped and said, “oh my goodness” before admitting that she owns a Land Rover. Kate Middleton wasn’t in the mood to sail at the event. Reason being Sir Ben Ainslie wasn’t there to sail. He didn’t make an appearance this year, but he was there in spirit.
The two got to interact via video. Kate Middleton told Sir Ben Ainslie that she and Prince William were “glued” to their televisions when they watched Team Britain “crash out in the semi-finals.” She also admitted that she has taken a “keen interest” in the sport. It’s no wonder why. Sir Ben Ainslie isn’t bad to look at. Kate Middleton can’t stop smiling whenever she’s around him. Prince William used to be a gorgeous man. But he’s not the looker he used to be when he was a young man.
Kate Middleton smiles brightly around Sir Ben Ainslie than she does around Prince William. People have been taking notice. Some even noticed that Kate Middleton and Prince William don’t show any affection for each other anymore. Maybe it’s because they’re a royal couple and they’re held to such high standards. But, it’s still odd. No one has seen Kate and William kiss since their royal wedding.
