Kate Middleton Lets Prince William Beat Her In Relay Race To Avoid Humiliation

Did Kate Middleton let her husband Prince William beat her in a short race this past weekend? Some royal observers believe that might have been the case as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge participated in a relay race at London’s Olympic park. They were participating in a special training day with their Heads Together organization along with William’s brother, Prince Harry.

Both Kate Middleton and Prince William are apparently training for the upcoming 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon with Heads Together. The organization is part of a campaign launched by William, Kate, and Harry to help the public talk about mental health issues.

Eyewitnesses say that Kate Middleton was in full competitive mode when she participated in a 100-meter sprint along side her husband William. But instead of sprinting full speed ahead, Kate slowed down her pace to allow William to sprint ahead of her. In fact, many photos show Kate laughing and smiling during the race, even though both William and Harry had strained looks on their faces. Prince Harry ended up winning the race, with William placing second and Kate coming in last.

So did Kate let William beat her in the face? That might be the case. Some believe that Kate Middleton let Prince William win the race simply because she didn’t want to humiliate her husband in public. If she had placed ahead of William in the race, the news would have made every headline in newspapers, magazines and gossip blogs from all over the world. After all, Prince William is the Future King of England. The last thing he wants is to be embarrassed by his own wife in public. Plus, he doesn’t want to look like a lazy and out-of-shape royal.

If that weren’t enough, Kate made it pretty clear that she doesn’t believe in her husband’s athletic abilities when she scoffed at the idea of him running a marathon. ‘Good Morning Britain’s Sean Fletcher revealed that Prince William is hoping to one day run the Kenya marathon. Kate’s reaction when she heard the news was, “I’ll believe it when I see it.”
