Kate Middleton Puts Her Art History Degree To Use During Museum Visit

Kate Middleton has finally put her art history degree to good use during a recent visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum’s Exhibition Road Quarter in London on Thursday, June 29. She helped mark the opening for the exhibition, which happens to be the museum’s largest architectural project in over 100 years.

Kate Middleton was an art history major at St. Andrew’s University. While at the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Duchess got to unveil a plaque in the Sackler Courtyard to commemorate the opening of the wing.

Even though Kate Middleton got her degree in art history, she never really put it to any use. Many royal critics say that she spent almost a decade waiting for Prince William to ask for her hand in marriage. The broke up and got together before Prince William finally decided to settle down and ask Kate to be his wife. Ever since Kate became a member of the British royal family, her life has been nothing more than royal engagements, charity events, public appearances, and of course lavish vacations with her family.

Even though Kate helped her mother Carole Middleton with their family business, Party Pieces, she’s never really worked on her own. In other words, the Duchess has never had a career. Sure, she worked as an accessory buyer for the clothing chain Jigsaw, but that was a part-time position she had during her college years. She’s never really had to work in her life. And for a lot of royal critics, they believe that might be Kate’s biggest problem.

After all, she and Prince William are called the laziest couple in the history of the British royal family for a reason. In 2016 Queen Elizabeth has managed to do twice the amount of work that Kate Middleton had done, despite the considerable age difference between them.

What’s more, many royal observers would say that Kate Middleton has never really shown an interest in art history over the years, either. Sure, she’s visited some of the biggest and best museums in the world and has shown her appreciation and excitement for fine art, but that’s about it. Sure, she loves taking artistic photos of her children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, but many critics point out that plenty of mothers do the same thing.
