Kate Middleton is not planning to get pregnant anytime soon. That’s because she knows Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to have their royal babies soon, too.
If there’s one thing that the Duchess of Cambridge doesn’t want to do, it’s compete with Meghan Markle for media attention and headlines. Yet sooner or later that’s exactly what is going to happen. Many reports indicate that Prince Harry is planning to propose to Meghan Markle during their trip to Africa in October. And when he does it, the couple will most likely get married right after the holidays. After that, the entire world will be on Meghan Markle bump watch to see how fast she’ll end up getting pregnant after their wedding.
For Kate Middleton, she’s seen it and done it all before. While there’s no doubt that she loves all the attention that she gets whenever she’s pregnant, it’s just not going to happen this year. Everyone has their eyes on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and are patiently waiting for them to make their next step as it is.
Plus, the Duchess doesn’t want to be pressured to get pregnant right now. She’s already having a difficult time keeping an eye on her two small children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. During their state trip to Poland and Germany, Prince George looked both frustrated and tired whenever he was asked to shake hands with foreign diplomats or pose for photos with his parents. Princess Charlotte took things one step further by having an epic meltdown on the tarmac at Hamburg airport.
While Kate would like to give her children another sibling, there’s no way that it will happen anytime soon. Queen Elizabeth made it pretty clear that she expects her to pull in more work as far as her royal engagements are concerned.
Prince George is also starting pre-school full-time this fall. Kate wants to be there for her son for each school drop-off and pick-up. There’s no way that she would be able to manage her workload while giving George and Charlotte the attention they need and deserve with another baby on the way. That’s why she apparently would rather leave it up to Meghan Markle to get pregnant next.
