This week on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta Joseline prepares to give birth by throwing her baby shower. She meets with party planners to plan an over the top shower. Joseline says “I want to show Bonnie Bella that you can do what you want when you want from the time she gets here.” Joseline is over the top with her ideas for the party. She wants to have strippers and a cake with her naked emblazoned on it. The planners seem to be appalled by her ideas. They tell her “No one will want to eat a cake with a picture of a baby popping out of your vagina.” Joseline doesn’t seem to care. They ask her “How much is your budget for the party?” Joseline scoffs and says “I have no idea how much it costs to plan a baby shower.” Joseline’s brother Kermie’s girlfriend is also
Joseline’s brother Kermie’s girlfriend is also expecting a baby. Joseline tells him “You need to grow up and become a man.” Kermie says “I will.” Joseline points out that Kermie wears expensive sneakers. She tells him “I can no longer support you. I can do it for my nephew, but I have to let you grow up and be a man now.” Kermie says “I’m going to grow up, get a job and support my baby.” Joseline tells him “I certainly hope so because my nephew deserves it.”
After she meets with her brother Joseline sits down and talks with her mom. Joseline expresses her concern about what it will mean to be a single mother. She says “I wanted my daughter to grow up in a home where she had both parents, but that isn’t possible now. I want to do everything to make sure that Bonnie grows up right.” Joseline’s mother tells her “You are already helping her to grow up right. Single mother to single mother you are doing a great job.”
Joseline is at the Yoga center to talk to other women about the possibility of having a water birth. Her friend Defina says “I want to do a water birth. Joseline says “Me too.” One of the ladies says “I wanted to do a water birth as well, but by the time I got to the hospital I did three pushes and it was out.”
Joseline expresses nervousness about actually caring for a baby. Tamika gives her an infant simulator to help her get used to caring for an actual baby. She tells her “This baby will wake up in the middle of the night and need to be cared for.” Joseline says “If this baby gets on my nerves I may just leave it in the backseat.” Everyone laughs.
Joseline’s friend Nikki comes into town and she and Joseline become very intimate. Joseline tells her “The baby shower is coming up and I want you to be there.” Nikki agrees and the two get down to some heavy making out.
Three weeks before the birth Joseline and her brother are at the ultrasound for Bonnie. Joseline is so excited. She says “I am so excited to be a mother.” After the ultrasound, she goes to see her family and the infant simulator is driving her and the family a little crazy. Joseline decides it is time for her to bond with her mom. Joseline’s niece Abby is also pregnant so she is taking time to spend with her. Abby tells Joseline “I feel sorry for your baby. She is going to cry all the time.” Joseline laughs and says “My baby is going to be happy and fed. This baby cries all the time.”
Meanwhile, the planning for the baby shower goes on. They have put together an elegant presentation for Joseline, but she is not happy at all. She tells them “As I recall at the meeting I asked for strippers.” All of a sudden the strippers emerge and everyone except Shante starts having a good time. She says “This is not what we are going with. You hired me because you knew I could get it done.” Mimi says “What are you going to go with?” Joseline says “We are going with the strippers.”
After the entertainment is decided on everyone sits down to sample the food for the party. Joseline says “I think Shante should stay in the kitchen and let Mimi work on the entertainment. This lobster is on point.” Later the cake is brought out and Mimi tells them that their cake designer used to be a rapper. She comes out and spits a few bars which impresses the table. Joseline then asks her “Can you design my cake the way I want it?” The designer assures her that she can.
The day of the shower arrives and Joseline is in her element as the center of attention. At first everyone is having a good time with the classical event. Suddenly the party turns up as Young Dro performs. Momma Dee comes out and presents Joseline with a mini crown for Bonnie Bella. Dawn steps up to speak and talks about how strong Joseline is. This moves her to tears.
Joseline is now in labor and getting ready to deliver her baby. She is able to get into the pool, but once she is in the water the pain intensifies. Joseline says “This pain is no joke. The pain is getting so bad I felt like I was dying and I wanted to get out of the water.” They get her moved on to the bed and she tries to get comfortable. Unfortunately, the pain doesn’t ease. Eventually, she gives up and tells her family to take her to the hospital because she is afraid that something is going to happen to her or the baby.
Joseline finally delivers her daughter. She says “As I lift her and hold her for the first time I know there is nothing greater that you can do.” Everyone is excited and gathered around Joseline and the baby. Once she is born and cleaned up Joseline calls Stevie to come and see his daughter. When Stevie arrives he is very emotional when holding his little girl. Stevie says “Look at this baby. She is gorgeous. Congratulations.” Joseline says “I just want you to be part of your daughter’s life and take care of her.” Stevie says “I will.” Joseline says “Bonnie will be living with me, but you can come and see her whenever you want.” Stevie seemed happy to hear that.
