Travis asks Bey to join him for dinner with his birth mother. She says she would love to go. Travis gets a text to come to the health center for a drug test. Chris tells the coach he is too sick to go but Kathryn says he only has 48 hours to show up or he will be off the team. Daphne tells Chris he has to take the test. Chris asks her to help me cheat on the test.
Travis is called in by coach and Kathryn because of the fight he had last week with a teammate. Coach gives Travis two weekends of work duty. Regina hires Toby to install a security system in the Cracked Jug. Daphne won’t help Chris cheat on the test but may know a way to help him pass but he will have to do exactly what she says.
Bey and Travis are impressed that his mom has learned to sign a few phrases. Travis is visibly upset when his uncle Eddie enters the room. He tells Bey his uncle molested him when he was young. Bey wants to leave but Travis wants to spend time with his mom. Daphne encourages Chris to run, drink water, and eat protein. Travis tries to make it through the meal but they leave quickly when Travis can’t take it anymore.
The boy who Travis hit has a very powerful father who wants Travis off of the baseball team. Kathryn doesn’t know what to do. After dinner Bey tries to convince Travis to tell his mother about Eddie but he is afraid she won’t believe him. He asks her to leave, throws and breaks a lamp in his room. Daphne has lunch with Chris and his Aunt. They have a great time.
Kathryn tells John he has to cut Travis at first her refuses but is then persuaded. Daphne is proud of Chris for going the blood test the right way but then gets nervous when the doctor tells her he can tell if an athlete tries to tamper with the results. Regina is working late by herself and is frightened when Eric shows up at the shop. She is thrilled to see him. He says he is tired of running and Hope is in jail. He and Will are leaving the country and he wants Regina to join them.John tells Travis he is off the team and advises him that he has to get to what is making him so angry or it will mess up the rest of his life. Daphne shares her worries with Bey and asks if it would be wrong to cheat for Chris. Bey says she might be the wrong person to ask because she would do whatever it takes to help the person she loves like she did for Daphne when her medical career was on the line.

Travis’ mom shows up at the shop to talk to Bey. She wants to know what happened last night, why did Travis shut down. Bey says she can’t but will try to get Travis to speak with her. Eric begs Regina to come away with him but she can’t. Bey goes to Travis and tells him about his mom’s visit. She says he has to face it and he agrees. Bey will be with him the whole time. Travis spills his heart out to his mom and at first she doesn’t believe him. Travis is so angry at her for not protecting him and for not learning his language. Bey tells her Travis needs to know she believe him. Bey teaches her the sign for I believe you and they hug.

Daphne drops and breaks Chris’s sample so he will have to give a new one next week. It will be enough time from when he used steroids that his test will be negative. He is so happy to hear she helped him that he tries to kiss her but she says no. She feels badly for what she has done. Daphne asks Chris to make sure to be the guy his Aunt May sees when she looks at him. Toby finishes the security system and helps Regina delete the images of Eric in the shop.
Bey is very proud of Travis for tell his mom everything. He couldn’t have done it without her. Travis gets a text from John and goes to the coach’s house. There is a professional team in Japan who is interested in having Travis join them but he would need to leave in a week.
