The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Bill (Don Diamont) won’t stop pursuing Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). He grudgingly accepted Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) decision to end their marriage and needed to fix his gaze upon another woman. Liam’s (Scott Clifton) wife has now become Bill’s next obsession.
To say that Dollar Bill is driven by a single-mindedness would lack sufficient detail. Putting it more succinctly, once Diamont’s character decides he wants a something, or someone, say a downtown Los Angeles property, or now, Steffy, he’ll do anything to obtain it, or her.
Steffy’s dilemma is far different than Liam’s was. Liam knew that he’d crossed a line by kissing Sally (Courtney Hope), but tried to live by his own credo. He wasted little time in telling his wife what he’d done, that he was sorry, that he loved her and in asking for forgiveness. Steffy initially rejected his explanation and plea, but later relented because of an impulsive mistake she’d made in response to the situation.
It’s good that Steffy realized what she’d done and reconciled with Liam after she’d shared romantic time with Bill. However, she knows that her father-in-law isn’t above using that situation to his advantage.
Like her husband, Steffy might choose to come clean. Though that revelation would seem primed to end her marriage, as Bill and Steffy did far more than kiss twice and they weren’t facing almost certain death when their moment of passion was shared.
Bill wanted to patch things up with Liam and had been working toward that goal for months. The Spectra Fashions’ building collapse saw Bill and Steffy risk their lives to save Liam and Sally. But Clifton’s character wasn’t grateful after the crisis was solved. Instead, he initially dug even deeper into his moral stance.
Liam’s attitude changed after he told Steffy about kissing Sally. His wife’s departure and Wyatt’s (Darin Brooks) pep talk allowed Liam to finally see other people’s points of view, which included what Steffy and Bill had been trying to tell him all along.
It’s good that Steffy went back to her husband and that they renewed the vows. But this looming issue now threatens Leffy’s future. Anything could happen, from Bill telling Liam straight out, to Liam accidentally discovering the truth, or any other bad scenario unfolding.
It will be interesting how Liam responds when he is enlightened. This is B&B and the soap world, so him never gaining that knowledge can’t possibly be the only outcome.
