The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) will never allow Eric (John McCook) and Quinn (Rena Sofer) to humiliate her without attempted reprisal. That’s why she’ll carry out a revenge plan.
And now B&B viewers see what’s coming. Sheila isn’t going to win Eric back, that was too preposterous to have ever happened. So it won’t. Instead, the now humiliated Miss Carter is primed to strike back at him and Quinn by randomly targeting their loved ones.
It all seemed like a dream. In masterfully played scenes that left fans guessing during the episode, Eric responded to Sheila’s messages and returned to the Trattoria where she’s working as a waitress.
Sheila’s Los Angeles-based obsession and one-time husband listened to the details of her so-called meeting with Mateo (Francisco San Martin). Eric acted as though he was outraged and then told her that she was the only one who had been honest with him in recent months. Acted was the key word in that last sentence.
This scribe believed, as possibly a smattering of B&B fans also did, that Sheila was imagining this scenario. It was playing out in her head. Possibly she was back in her hotel room dreaming, right? No.
B&B’s writers crafted a terrific exchange that was later revealed when Quinn told Wyatt (Darin Brooks) that Eric was handling Sheila because she told her husband what happened with Mateo. It all made sense then.
Switch back to the Forrester estate, still managed by Mateo one thinks, where Sheila arrived with the portrait she commissioned of herself in hand. Eric asked her to bring it so he could rid himself of that abominable image of Quinn, the traitor, whose likeness had been mocking him from above the mantle.
The audience watched McCook anew, as he reeled in Brown’s character, telling her everything she wanted to hear. He would call her Mrs. Forrester. Sheila’s portrait would replace this other woman’s oil-based atrocity. Yes, Quinn would be gone.
This particular episode played to the outrageous nature of the Sheila character, as Eric soaped it up with her big time. Then, Quinn arrived and coyly confronted the enemy she’d already defeated.
Sheila believed that Quinn was about to be kicked out and that her old life had been reclaimed more quickly than she’d ever imagined. But Sheila’s fantasy world was eviscerated when Eric returned to the room he’d left just moments before.
Various fans have been calling for Sheila’s ouster from LA. They cited the ridiculous nature of her being able to ingratiate herself into Eric’s life. But B&B has now greenlighted cheering for the Forrester family as it attempts to fight off Sheila, or eliminate her altogether and maybe, forever?
