The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: The System Failed Sheila – Duped, Alone and Dangerous, Sheila's Rage Explodes

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers documented the lead-in to an epic reveal, both for the audience and for Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). Eric (John McCook), Quinn (Rena Sofer) and Mateo (Francisco San Martin) crafted a ruse to teach the one-time Mrs. Forrester a harsh, but sorely needed lesson. So, what does it mean that she deserved better?

There will be zero references to the distant past. Those then-paper calendar pages have been ripped and recycled long ago. Let’s focus instead on why this obviously unreformed con is seemingly not receiving psychiatric care, or taking prescribed mental health medication? Plus, how could the justice system allow someone who wears this rap sheet to roam the earth again?

Sheila never had her face remade to look like Phyllis (then played by Michelle Stafford) on Y&R. So, she wasn’t the person who was killed back in 2007. No, Miss Carter went off to prison and served an undetermined amount of time for a crime, or crimes that weren’t detailed.

Some soapy review board seemingly agreed that Sheila’s paid her debt and therefore she was released. She returned to Los Angeles seeking redemption. Initially, Eric inexplicably gave her a second, uh, fourteenth chance. That setup rubbed some viewers raw.

Addressing a more personal point, it can be argued that Sheila is basically a lonely person. Most guys who were aware or learned her backstory would likely be opposed to dating. Maybe Deacon (Sean Kanan), whose currently incarcerated, or another loose personality would consider her?

Sheila returned to Los Angeles at some point after paying her debt to society with one goal in mind. She wanted to become Mrs. Eric Forrester again.

In the real world Brown is 56 and McCook is 73. Their characters’ ages also nearly span a generation. As Eric advised, Sheila needs to move on with her life. Possibly, with the right person, she could find balance for the first time.

As far as what Quinn and Eric did to Sheila, well, that was justified. To think that Eric actually felt sorry for her after all she’d done to him and everyone else, which is incredible. He came to regret that choice.

Sheila’s misguided hope is gone. She’s alone in the world, or so viewers have been told. Maybe she’ll shift her focus to another man. Possibly she’ll reach out to her children.

In any possible scenario, Sheila remains dangerous and Brown’s contract runs through spring 2018. So additional B&B plot lines involving this infamous villain will be forthcoming as Sheila seeks her explosive revenge.
