The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Scott (Daniel Hall) will continue his efforts to rebuild his life. He’s been struggling, but everyone in Genoa City has been supportive. It looks like Y&R is shopping Scott around as a love interest as well. He’s been sharing scenes with several leading ladies and any of them could work.
Since Billy (Jason Thompson) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will be reuniting soon, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) could use a new man. Likewise, Sharon (Sharon Case) is available and can connect with Scott over their mutual vulnerability. However, Scott could also go in the younger age bracket.
Abby (Melissa Ordway) might be a little too high maintenance for Scott, but there’s a chance that could actually draw them together. Scott has seen a lot of rough situations in the Middle East, so he could have a problem with Abby’s tendency to be a drama queen. Sometimes opposites attract, which means hate could easily turn to love.
Then again, Scott may be better off with someone with the same vibe. He seems like he needs a woman who’s relaxed and not too much of a girly girl. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) might be the perfect fit. If The Young and the Restless went in this direction, there would be some interesting ways to set it up.
Mariah will share a kiss with Devon (Bryton James) soon, but he’s obviously still in love with Hilary (Mishael Morgan). A Devon and Mariah pairing would undoubtedly be short-lived. Once this fizzles, how could Y&R push Mariah toward Scott? Maybe some danger would do the trick. Scott knows how to stay cool under pressure. He’s a bit tougher than someone like Kevin (Greg Rikaart) or even Devon. If Mariah faced sudden peril, Scott would definitely come to her rescue.
It’s been a while since The Young and the Restless has a disaster storyline. We’re heading into tornado season, so what if a twister hit Genoa City? They aren’t as common in Wisconsin as some other states, but they happen from time to time. A tornado would something exciting and fresh for the CBS soap.
Genoa City tends to be bad luck central anyway! If any city is going to be hit, it would be this one. Scott could end up saving Mariah somehow. He might get hurt in the process. They would take cover and hope that they could survive the swirling winds. Mariah might tend to Scott’s injuries and things could quickly heat up.
Next, Scott and Mariah could share some kisses or even make love. Hey, that’s what soap characters do when death seems near! If a tornado plot isn’t what Y&R has in mind, then a fire or explosion would get the job done. Anything that will confine Mariah and Scott would work just fine.
