The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Devon (Bryton James) will make a decision about the future of GC Buzz. Now that he’s cutting Hilary (Mishael Morgan) out of his life, Devon is facing a tough dilemma. He hates the idea of working with Hilary on a daily basis, but the fans certainly adore her.
Devon will mull it over and determine that Hilary should stick around. He needs to keep her on board to preserve the show’s ratings. Hilary will be grateful that she still has her job, but there’ll be a catch. The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Devon will make Mariah (Camryn Grimes) her cohost.
Hilary will undoubtedly be caught off guard by the news. Mariah and Hilary don’t have a great track record when it comes to getting along. In fact, their feud is what ultimately led Devon to his breaking point. He couldn’t believe that Hilary would resort to childish tactics like tripping her replacement.
To make matters worse, Hilary lied about it. Devon is still furious with Hilary, but he has to think about the show. GC Buzz hasn’t always presented their stories in the right way, but at least the audience has been thrilled.
Perhaps Devon is hoping that Mariah will balance out Hilary’s penchant for over-the-top scandals. A little piece of him may want to punish Hilary, too. Devon knows that Hilary won’t like sharing hosting duties, especially with her enemy.
Hilary and Mariah managed to put their conflict behind them recently, but that was before Devon’s outburst. Will Hilary turn against Mariah again or will she agree to be a real team? If she chooses the latter, Hilary might help Devon see that she’s truly changed.
Hilary will definitely need to avoid sneaky plans for a while. She needs to be on her best behavior if she wants to win Devon back. Plus, Hilary’s career is on the line. One wrong move and Hilary could be shown the door.
Since Mariah will be serving as a cohost, the viewers should become quite comfortable with her. Her endearing fall already made her a star. If Hilary blows her shot, Mariah could easily take over. In other words, there’s a lot at stake for Hilary. However, Devon’s opinion of her is what matters most right now.
The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Devon could soften toward Hilary soon. He may decide that he can’t live without her. Y&R fans have watched Devon give Hilary plenty of chances. Will he eventually give her one more?
