The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Nick (Joshua Morrow) must consider leaving Genoa City in order to get away from his father. This doesn’t mean that the now non-Newman heir would go away forever. A pursuit of The Underground expansion project would create a distance between renewed combatants and allow time for reflection.
Look, Nick has done almost everything he possibly can to get away from the incorrigible Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). But the man is an all-out vampire. The Moustache can’t help himself; needing to suck blood from anyone in order to survive, including his own family members.
What type of person stands outside of an inferno, that happens to be his son’s engulfed nightclub and tells him off? Victor actually advised Nick that he wouldn’t help him to rebuild as the flames rose. Yes, that blood he ingested was gauged. The result came back below freezing.
Noah (Robert Adamson) could be convinced to travel with his dad. Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) is very important to him. But she’ll likely be leaving the area in the near future so she can tour with Devon’s (Bryton James) streaming company. Plus, Noah said she can open at the new Underground’s, assuming they will happen.
Clearly Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) would be in play. She’s just moved in with Chick at the penthouse. Y&R viewers recall that’s where Chadam lived, which is odd. So it’s assumed that the show simply didn’t want to deconstruct this setting.
Nick could send Faith to live with Sharon (Sharon Case) if he would go on a month’s long jaunt. Viewers would assume that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) would join him on occasion. Considering her most pressing commitment, Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois), and then Chelsea 2.0, it would seem impossible for Egan’s character to simply up and leave GC to accompany a man who is basically her live-in boyfriend at this point. If this were Adam (Justin Hartley) that were being referenced, Chelsea would surely follow him anywhere.
Victor knows that Nick has taken his money play off the table. That’s why Victor’s latest move, buying a liquor distributorship to force The Underground to pay higher prices, is so cowardly.
One glimmer of hope could come from something Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) uttered a few weeks ago. She appeared to be softening her stance about an eventual reconciliation. A Niktor reunion would probably push Victor off his grudge chair. But if that doesn’t happen soon Nick would be better off taking a long, working vacation.
