The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Zack (Ryan Ashton) was pimping Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) before both of these characters appeared on the show. The dating app that Abby (Melissa Ordway) used Newman Enterprises’ money to invest in, as part of her incubator idea, is actually a cover for a prostitution ring that’s expanded into Genoa City.
Savvy soap viewers know how to connect plot dots. So let’s flesh this out by starting now and working backwards. Logic when balanced by emotion and vice versa can lead to a reasonable answer.
Sharon (Sharon Case) recently began volunteering her time at a crisis hotline. This week she took a call from a new character named Crystal (Morgan Obenreder). That development likely connects to past scripted moments.
Consider Tessa’s feelings about Zack. She was fearful when first seeing him. She would have been angered if he was a former boyfriend who had wronged her. So why did she express that emotion then and on subsequent occasions?
Review the specifics of Zack’s dating app idea and how the dark side of that technology could easily allow him to be connecting men to terrorized women who are being forced to sell their bodies in exchange for drugs and money. If this arc is balanced, it will also include Zack connecting women to terrorized men who are forced to sell their bodies for drugs and money. That last line speaks to equality, verses default sexism.
Circle back to Paul’s (Doug Davidson) instant injection. He was written into Sharon’s seeming storyline at the same time. So the GC Police Department is already a player. Where Paul’s emerging investigation leads determines how much cover Zack will be given.
Now, recall that Christine (Lauralee Bell) tried to persuade Scott (Daniel Hall) to investigate this exact issue a few months ago. That’s when viewers learned that Hall’s character previously served as a government operative.
Skip to Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) general conversation with Noah (Robert Adamson) about Tessa this week. Mix in Nick’s follow-up exchange with Sharon about their son’s girlfriend at Crimson Lights as well.
