The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will be returning to the CBS soap opera in mid-September. CBS has been tight-lipped about his return, careful not to spoil any part of his highly anticipated return to Y&R. The main question on the fans’ minds is, what does Kevin’s return mean for his significant other, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson)?
Last month, the Y&R fans expressed how upset they were with Greg’s departure. They couldn’t believe after 14 years as Kevin, that CBS would let him go. Rikkart was frank and honest with his followers, stating it was not his choice to leave – Young and the Restless decided not renew his contract.
When TPTB didn’t kill Kevin off, the viewers had hopes that he would return at some point. Never in their wildest dreams did they expect him to come back within a month of leaving. All CBS has revealed about Greg’s return is that it would be an explosive storyline, teasing that the fans will love it.
The viewers anxiously want to know if Chloe will come with Kevin to Genoa City. Of course, Chloe cannot come because she faked her death. If she came back, she would have to answer to Adam Newman (formerly Justin Hartley) murder charges and explain how she faked her death. That would, of course, implicate Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and others now in numerous crimes.
Kevin’s return could mean a few things. First, it could be related to the prostitution ring storyline. They could have called him in since he is good at tracking people. Another popular theory is that he is coming home to try to clear Chloe’s name. Perhaps, Chloe told him that Adam got away and didn’t die in the cabin’s explosion.
If Chloe told him that Adam could be alive, it’s likely that Kevin would return to GC to let The Moustache know that his son isn’t dead and urge him to help him clear Chloe’s name. This Y&R spoiler fits in with the highly anticipated return of Adam Newman.
As for Elizabeth Hendrickson, she will not be coming back this time. She has a new business venture, an upscale beauty salon named Ellie & Sassy. Hendrickson stated just before her exit that she would return if the taping schedule worked with her prior commitments.
So far, Young and the Restless hasn’t revealed anything about Kevin’s upcoming storyline. As it gets closer to his first airdate, CBS will reveal a few juicy tidbits about his return.
