No one was safe with Smurf out. She had remembered what her boys did when she went to jail and how no one came to visit her, however, Smurf hadn’t wanted to rock the boat when she first came out of prison. She instead pretended everything was ok. Smurf cooked for her boys, she cleaned up around the house, and she guilted her grandson into falling back in line.

She talked about how dirty it was in her car and that pushed J into saying that “sure, he’ll get it detailed”. He knew he couldn’t upset her seeing as he tried to take her position and failed. J felt so bad for overplaying his hand that he hadn’t even bothered denying that he did another job with his uncles and so he did as his grandmother asked when she told him to call a meeting on tonight’s all new episode of “Animal Kingdom”.

The family meeting was one way for Smurf to reclaim her position in the family. She was the boss and she wanted to make that known to everyone because she was going to be demanding even more as time went on. Smurf wanted her cut again. She was the one that was in charge of cleaning the money for the family and so she took her cut from that, but the guys later told their mother that they hadn’t wanted to give her the twenty percent she demanded.

Smurf asked them where else they were going to clean their money and Craig tried mentioning a friend of his. He said his friend could hook them up and Smurf had knowingly argued that the only thing his friend could help them with was getting arrested. She said they would get thrown into a federal prison before long and that she would go to see them more than once.

Smurf then made a counteroffer. She said she was willing to forgo her cut if the boys would go get their money back from Lucy. Lucy was Baz’s girlfriend and Smurf believed she was the one that took the money after Baz died because Lucy had gotten out of town really fast afterward. Pope had tried to deny that it had been Lucy and Craig hadn’t been interested in returning to Mexico.

The guys said that there was no proof Lucy had taken the money and that they weren’t even sure how much had been taken because Smurf kept them in the dark. So Smurf changed that. She told them that there had been seven million in her storage unit and that she would give them all their cut right off if they could just get the money back from Lucy. Only Lucy knew that Smurf would come after her.

Lucy went to Pope the moment she heard Smurf was free because she said Smurf would pin everything on her. Lucy said that Smurf would blame her for Baz’s murder and for stealing the money yet she claimed she had nothing to do with any of it and that hadn’t been the full truth. She had taken the money after Baz’s death and she held back from mentioning that because she needed Pope.

Pope was the one that could rein his own mother and he promised to do it. He said he could handle Smurf and he was right because he later convinced his brother how it would be a waste of time to go after Lucy. Lucy was well-protected and might not have the money anyways.

So Pope quashed that! He told the others that they could go back to Smurf with fifteen percent and so they sent J to pass on the message. J went back home and he told Smurf the message however he also told Smurf how much they made from the last job and so she had a better understanding of the finances than even Billy.

Billy had been lowballed by the others because they had thought it would all go into a needle and that’s also why they hadn’t wanted to give Billy his full cut all at once. They told Billy they were safeguarding the money and so Billy went over to the house to see if he could convince j into giving it to him.

He thought all he had to do was sweet talk the teenager and instead he ran into Smurf. Smurf didn’t seem to mind that he was hanging around now that she was out of prison and the two of them slept together for old times sake. And that had left Billy in such a good mood that he later brought up Smurf with Deran.

Deran hadn’t wanted to go back to dealing with his mother because things had gotten weird between them and so he only caved on that because she eventually came to see him. She asked him if there was anything she could say to get him to take the Lucy job and he said no. Then she asked him if he could meet her at the cemetery because she had bought a plot for Baz and so that he agreed to, but there had been a surprise.

Smurf revealed that she bought plots for all of them so that they all be together as a family and everyone had been surprised when she hadn’t that opportunity to change their minds about going after Lucy.

And what they didn’t know was that she had hired Mia’s gang to do the job when she hadn’t been able to convince her boys, so the boys don’t know that Smurf is making moves of her own. She, on the other hand, hadn’t known that Child Services removed Lena from Pope or that Deran had gotten involved with a merry band of idioms that had tried to pull off a job with disastrous results. It seems no one in the Cody family trusts each other enough to be honest…

Smurf was already making moves on tonight’s all-new episode
