On tonight’s Blue Blood Season 8 episode 21, as per the CBS synopsis, “Frank goes head-to-head with a data-tracking company when they refuse to unlock the phone of a terrorist that may hold information regarding upcoming targets. Also, when Erin obtains information about an impending murder from a shady source, she gets Danny and Baez involved, despite the questionable agenda of the informant, and Jamie and Eddie try to locate a woman who kidnapped a newborn baby.”

Frank wants a terrorist phone unlocked as it may hold information regarding upcoming targets. Erin walks into a restaurant to meet a father and John Romano is there; she says it is inappropriate as his son is being tried by her office. Erin goes to leave as she can’t be seen with John outside of work. John runs after her and asks what if this could help her with her work; he says he has information about crimes that are about to happen. John tells her that there is a murder that is about to occur and asks if she can really afford to walk away with that on her conscious. Meanwhile, there is a fight and both Jamie and Edit are on the scene trying to break it up. It turns out that a woman was pretending to be a nurse and stole a baby. The mother’s name is Sophia and her family thinks it is her boyfriend, Jorge did it. At the station, Jorge said he only got to see his child for a few seconds before Sophia’s father tried to beat him up. Frank is locking horns with the data tracking company as it is refusing to unlock the terrorist’s phone; Frank tries to enlist Kelly’s help.
Donnie can’t believe that Erin is being sandbagged by John Romano. Erin tells Donnie that they have sworn duty to hear John out.
Jamie finds the baby’s id tag, Edit wonders why someone would drop it so close to the hospital.
At the station, Donnie, Erin, and Anthony are talking to John and asking him they should believe him. John says that he is offering information about a criminal matter to get his son out of jail; he is in waste management and he hears things, a taxpayer wasn’t going along with his families’ business and he is going to be taught a lesson. John says a whole family is going to be involved, they will all be in their vehicle and all of them will be killed.
Edit continues to look around a garbage bin near the hospital and she finds a nurses uniform. Edit and Jamie question a store owner and he says the woman came in to buy formula for the baby; luckily though he has security cameras.
Frank is still trying to get that phone unlocked, he meets with the data tracking company and shows him photos of the victims to try to get a reaction out of him.
Anthony and Donny are staking out looking for a sign that the hit John told them about is going to go down. Donnie sees a family get into a station wagon and Buick going after it, Donnie and Anthony go after the guy, arrest him when they find a machine gun in the car.
Anthony and Donnie are back at the station and tell Erin that John was right; Donnie thinks John set it up himself and they are being played.
Edit and Jamie have a photo of the nurse and the baby, they head to the hospital and of the staff recognizes the woman, her name is Alice and she lost a baby and has been at the hospital a few times believing she was pregnant and wasn’t, she is homeless.
Kelly goes to see Frank, she is upset that he raided the phone companies office. Kelly says this is about the legal protection of people’s privacy, Frank says it is not the case, people are getting hurt and something has to be done. Kelly asks him if he visited the victims, he says yes.
Sophia is at the station and she is very upset, she wants to know where the woman is with her baby. Jamie tells her they are trying their best to get her daughter back but they can’t make any promises.
Donnie has John’s son and puts him a cell with Anthony. Meanwhile, Jamie and Edit find Alice and she still has the baby, she is running and police cars try to stop her; Alice says if they come close to her she will drop the baby over the bridge. Alice ends up giving the baby to Edit. Sophia now has her baby back and Jorge is with her, one big happy family.
Frank finally gets the phone unlocked. John, Erin, Anthony, and Donnie are in a boardroom talking to John’s son and Donnie reveals that he set his son up and they now have on record that John set up the hit.
Edit lies to Barry and says she is working, she would rather spend the evening with Jamie because he understands what she went throughout the week.
