Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that John (Drake Hogestyn) will have to make a big confession. After getting caught administering the antidote to the poison, John will face questions from Steve (Stephen Nichols). Since the jig is up, John will decide Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) should hear this, too.
John’s guilt has really been hitting him hard. He’ll be relieved when he comes clean about the scheme he carried out. DOOL fans know that the ISA ordered John to kill Steve, but the issue of why hasn’t been revealed yet.
Unfortunately, some viewers may be a bit disappointed in the explanation. It doesn’t make a lot of sense, but sometimes soapy sacrifices must be made for the sake of drama! Days of Our Lives spoilers say John’s fake flashbacks will divulge the whole story.
Days watchers should remember the first part. Back when Joey (James Lastovic) killed Ava (Tamara Braun), Steve was all set to take the fall. John came through for Steve at the last second by pulling some strings with the ISA. They told the cops that killing Ava was an ISA mission when it actually wasn’t.
When Joey confessed to Ava’s murder, that botched their cover-up. Here’s where the newly created flashbacks will come in. Pamela Van Damme (Martha Hackett) is the head of the ISA and she wasn’t happy about Joey’s move. She ordered John to get rid of Steve, so this is apparently some sort of punishment.
ISA agents are supposed to be the good guys (at least mostly), so why are they plotting Steve’s murder and threatening John’s family? That’s a little extreme since John and Steve are far from ruthless baddies. Furthermore, why would they trust Steve’s best friend to eliminate him? Doesn’t that seem like a disastrous plan? DOOL may never give us all the answers!
Nevertheless, Days of Our Lives spoilers say John will make his admission and beg Steve for forgiveness. He’ll hope Kayla and Marlena can find a way to forgive him as well. They’ll all be taken aback, but they’ll understand in time.
Days spoilers state that Steve will be particularly kind about the whole thing. He’ll get that his pal was in a tight spot. John didn’t want Marlena or their kids and grandkids to be targeted. He’ll appreciate Steve’s compassion after everything he did to him.
John will resolve to make it up to Steve if he can. He’ll do whatever it takes to earn Steve’s trust again. How do you feel about the poisoning explanation?
