Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that we’re in for two exciting returns in 2019. It hasn’t been long since Nicole (Arianne Zucker) allegedly perished in the DiMera warehouse explosion, but according to some breaking news on the DOOL app, she’ll be returning in 2019 along with Xander (Paul Telfer).
The DOOL app announced that Xander will be making his way back to Salem and will share scenes with Brady (Eric Martsolf), Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), Victor (John Aniston), Sonny (Freddie Smith), and Nicole. Of course, that can only mean one thing – that Nicole somehow survived the warehouse explosion.
Fans have been speculating ever since Nicole’s “death” that she may have survived the ordeal. She was trapped behind debris in the warehouse, but since this was a DiMera property, there could have been a hidden escape route. It’s possible that Xander or someone else pulled Nicole to safety at the last minute, or perhaps she found a way out on her own and was then apprehended by Xander.
Xander, being the evil guy that he is, wouldn’t just let Nicole go. He likely abducted her and is forcing her to stay with him. He could be threatening to harm Holly and Eric (Greg Vaughan) if she doesn’t do what he says. And we know that Nicole would do anything to keep her loved ones safe.
And what about the necklace that the firefighters found at the scene of the warehouse fire? This was presented to Eric as proof of Nicole’s death, but what if Nicole purposely left it behind as a clue for Eric as she was being shuffled to safety by Xander or someone else?
The necklace is all Eric has left of Nicole, or so he believes. It will be interesting to see what happens as Eric moves on with his life with Holly. There’s buzz that Eric and Sarah will start to bond as they care for Holly. Will these two embark on a new relationship just in time for Nicole to reappear?
