Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Sami (Alison Sweeney) will have a difficult time with the whole “mystery patient” situation. She found a man who might be EJ (last played by James Scott) in the secret DiMera facility in Nashville. The man’s the same build as EJ, but since he was burned in the fire at the facility, nobody can tell his true identity.
This is going to drive Sami bonkers. She’s been desperately looking for EJ for years, and now she may have found him, but she can’t identify him for sure. And the mystery patient seems to be in a semi-catatonic state, so he can’t readily give answers about his true identity or what’s been done to him.
Sami will try to get some answers as best she can. She will ask Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) for help in running a DNA test on the mystery patient, but that will probably only get Sami so far. Sami might compare the mystery patient’s DNA to Chad’s (Billy Flynn) or Stefan’s (Tyler Christopher) to see if there’s a familial match. But a match wouldn’t be conclusive proof that the patient is EJ.
But then Sami will get an idea. She’ll remember that Susan (Stacy Haiduk) is back in Salem, and she’ll get excited. Since Susan is EJ’s mother, she’ll hope that Susan can help her figure out whether the mystery patient is, in fact, EJ.
Of course, Susan and Sami don’t exactly get along, and Sami doesn’t really enjoy dealing with Susan, but she’ll be desperate. She’’ll pin all of her hopes on Susan being able to help her make an identification, and she’ll beg Susan to help her.
But Susan’s “help” may be a lot to handle. Days spoilers say that Susan will have a premonition that EJ is alive, and that will probably send her into a tizzy. But Sami will probably have some more concrete proof in mind, like a DNA test comparing Susan to the mystery patient. That seems like the only chance of truly making an identification.
