Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Susan Seaforth Hayes Celebrates 50 Years In Salem - Julie Williams Special DOOL Episode

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) will soon celebrate a remarkable milestone. Days is fortunate to have several actors and actresses who have been with the NBC soap for the long term, but none have been with the show as long as Susan Seaforth Hayes, who portrays Julie.

During the past few years, and especially since the passing of Alice Horton (Frances Reid), Julie has stepped into the role of Days’ matriarch. She and Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) have become the foundational center of the show, and they’ve been involved in major storylines throughout the years.

In fact, Julie herself will be smack dab in the middle of some big drama in the coming days. She’s going to become an obstacle in Ciara (Victoria Konefal) and Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) fledgling relationship, and she’ll team up with Abigail (Kate Mansi) to help bring down Gabi (Camila Banus).

But in the midst of it all, Julie will take some time to reminisce. On the episode airing on Tuesday, December 11, Julie will think back to her return to Salem that occurred 50 years ago, on December 11, 1968. It was on that day that the actress then known as Susan Seaforth assumed the role of Julie.

It looks like fans will be treated to some flashbacks of Susan’s first appearance as Julie, as well as other key moments in Julie’s life, such as her 1976 wedding to Doug and the time Julie was seriously burned. It’s a remarkable achievement for Susan to have been able to portray such a beloved character for 50 years.
