Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Theresa (Jen Lilley) are in for a fierce custody battle. Theresa decided to fight dirty against Brady and Eve (Kassie DePaiva) by suing for sole custody of Tate (Colin and Kyle Schroeder). Both Brady and Theresa are fighters, so the custody hearing will probably get ugly really quickly. The showdown is on!
Each side has plenty of ammunition to hurl at the other, but Theresa will probably appear to have the upper hand at first. She’ll probably argue that she’s a loving mother whose long absence from Tate’s life can be reasonably explained. Theresa can portray herself as a victim of Mateo (Andoni Gracia) who was forced to take drastic action to make sure Brady and Tate weren’t killed by the evil drug lord.
Then Theresa will probably go after Brady as an unfit parent. She’ll probably argue that Tate’s current living situation, which is a hotel suite with two adults who are sleeping together but not married, is inappropriate.
She’ll likely bring up Brady’s history of alcohol abuse and argue that Brady is at high risk for relapse and shouldn’t be primary caregiver for a child right now. By the time Theresa’s lawyer gets through with Brady, he will probably seem like an unstable, unfit lush!
It may look bleak for Brady at first, but Brady will have his own plan of attack against Theresa, and that plan involves Maggie (Suzanne Rogers). Days of Our Lives spoilers say that Maggie will testify against Theresa. Maggie is a pillar of the community and her testimony will probably carry a lot of weight with the judge.
She’s the perfect person to tell the judge about Theresa’s history of poor choices and how devastated Tate was when his Mommy left.
Maggie could also fill the judge in on her first-hand knowledge of Brady’s great parenting skills and the love he has for Tate. Maggie has also been Brady’s AA sponsor, so she could reassure the judge that Brady is solid on the road to recovery now.
All of this combined with the fact that Theresa basically abandoned Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) in Mexico and then tried to sabotage her rescue attempt should put Brady in pretty good shape in the custody fight.
