General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that a new blind item has soap fans buzzing. This is some inside info that could apply to any of the four main daytime dramas. It’s always a good idea to mull over tidbits like this and try to prepare for what’s ahead. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that “contract negotiations have proven tense for two faves” at one show.
Of course, there’s no confirmation on which favorites yet. Blind items force everyone to speculate, but we can still gather evidence and draw some potential conclusions. If this news is about GH, there’s a possibility that immediately springs to mind. Could Billy Miller (Drew) and Kelly Monaco (Sam) be the faves at risk of leaving?
General Hospital made the decision to bring back Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) last year and it seems to have worked out well. Jason’s return brought plenty of drama and it’s still driving some of the current storylines. With soaps, it’s all about having somewhere to go. GH still has a lot to explore thanks to Jason’s comeback, so it’s been a successful move.
However, it’s doubtful Miller is very happy about giving up his spot as Jason. Miller and Burton claim there’s no beef behind the scenes, but they obviously would never admit to feuding. It’s tough to believe Miller’s totally fine with how things turned out. Jason seems to be the one GH likes to push as the leading man. Stepping aside for another actor would be a blow to anyone’s ego.
Miller re-signed with the show after Jason’s return, but it’s possible he made a short-term agreement. He may have wanted to see what the show intended to do with Drew before he signed anything too lengthy. Could Miller be revisiting the contract issue now? It’s easy to see him playing hardball and at least trying to score bigger bucks for sticking around.
As for Monaco, she’s made it clear in interviews and fan events that Miller’s her ideal costar. She wants to work with him and she’s not doing much of that at the moment. There’s still gossip about Monaco and Miller dating, so they may want to stand in solidarity on this. Could Monaco be facing some negotiation drama as well?
GH would definitely hate to lose Sam and Drew. If they’re the faves at stake, you can bet the show will do everything in their power to keep them. General Hospital spoilers say Drew and Sam will have some good stuff in store if they stay, so let’s hope for the best!
