Olivia and the Chief spend some time talking in her apartment about their kids.

On board a flight, a male pilot assures the passengers they are in for a smooth ride. He shuts off the intercom and speaks to his female co-pilot Tara, asking her if she wants to go for drinks. Before he leaves to the before he touches her shoulder and tells her she looks good. Tara locks the cockpit and deviates from the flight plan taking everyone on a dangerous and bumpy ride. She refuses to let the pilot in. The break down the door and forcibly remove her.

The team is watching the news at the precinct of a female pilot who many think is a terrorist after she tried to kill a plane full of people. Her co-pilot is Carter is painted as a hero who got everyone to safety. Olivia shows up. They all welcome her back. She assures them she is all right before heading to her office. Rollins pops in. Optimum Airlines is on the phone. Their employee says she was raped.

Olivia and Rollins meet with Tara. She tells them months ago when she was on a layover with Carter and the crew she drank too much. Carter raped her. After that she rented a car and went to visit her sister, taking a week off. She should have reported it then but didn’t.

The team meets up. Rollins reports that Tara’s story checks out. They all disburse to question witnesses. Olivia heads to meet the CEO of Optimum Airlines. He thinks Carter is a hero and doesn’t believe Tara’s story. Carter has a beautiful wife, kids, and a stellar career. He isn’t surprised with Tara’s story, women can’t cut it as pilots. Olivia meets with HR next.

Fin and Carisi meet with a flight attendant who remembers the layover well but has no idea about Tara being raped.

Rollins meets with Tara’s sister. She is a nurse who took bruises of Tara’s injuries. Her sister told her she was mugged at first.

The team meets up. Tara’s Instagram posts are damaging, showing her drinking at a bar in her pilot uniform. The chief calls Olivia in. He doesn’t think this is a good case for them. Tara’s story is missing and all of the crap will rain down on their head if they proceed. Olivia wants to continue. She tells Fin to get Tara back in.

Tara tells the team about Carter’s behavior. He slapped her butt, talked to her about inappropriate things. She recalls the night she was raped. He kissed her. She slapped him. He pushed her into her hotel room and then raped her.

The team talks Tara into calling Carter while they listen for his possible confession. He tells Tara he only gave her what she wanted.

Rollins and the team arrest Carter when he arrives in New York after a flight. Rollins cuffs him. He will have her badge, he tells her. Airport goers are upset. Carter is a hero.

Carter’s lawyer is disgusted they would pull him in with such little evidence. He will see them in court.

In court, Tara details how she reported the incident to the airlines and they promised her a promotion and she would no longer have to fly with Carter. Carter’s lawyer cross-examines her next. He wants to know why the airline doesn’t have a record of the rape and why she didn’t leave as soon as she saw Carter in the cockpit that day. Tara gets angry and details the rage she felt when she entered the cockpit that day.

Olivia locates a former female pilot named Jeanne who worked at the airlines. Jeanne doesn’t want to talk. She left Optimum after 10 years on a good note. Olivia details the pain Tara has and how she could go to prison. Jeanne breaks. Carter raped her too.

Rollins meets with Carter and his lawyer to offer him a deal after showing him the evidence Jeanne kept. Carter takes the deal, ten years in prison. Olivia and their team aren’t stopping there. They bring the airline to the grand jury. Jeanne takes the stand to detail what happened to her. On recess, Olivia learns that the airline is working to quash the subpoena. The CEO’s assistant Ms. Gray arrives. She has some documents they need to see, documents her CEO asked her to shred. She is sick of being quiet.

Gray takes the stand. She reads a memo she drafted for the CEO five years ago. The memo details how he thinks women do not have what it takes to do the job as a pilot. They get their indictment. Olivia is thrilled. Optimum Air stocks plummet.

Fin stops the Chief on his way out the door. He asks him about the rumors that they were interviewing candidates for Olivia’s job. The chief defends himself. He didn’t know if she was going to come back he has a department to run. Fin shows him a memo. The chief looks surprised. Fin warns him that he made copies. Just so he knows.
