Legacies Series Premiere begins tonight with Landon Kirby (Aria Shahghasemi) walking with his friend to the Catholic Church, who is forced to confess his sins because his fosterparents, Hector and Marie want him to. Landon is told to wait outside, while Hector and Marie exorcise the “demon”. Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell) arrives with Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis) and breaks the chains off the church doors. She shuts up the exorcist and stops the ritual, Alaric helps chain up Rafael (Peyton ‘Alex’ Smith) as he transforms into a werewolf.

On the way back to Salvatore School, Alaric learns how Hope and Landon know each other; Alaric promising to explain everything once they are somewhere safe. Josie (Kaylee Bryant) and Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) Saltzman introduce themselves and give Rafael a tour while Alaric wants to know if Landon knew about them while he lived in Mystic Falls. He says he knew about the school but didn’t talk about all they could do.

Alaric says they are a school for the supernatural, which covers a lot of territory, so for the outside world they cannot understand. He demands to know what Hope is and really wants to know what it all was in the church last night; because according to what he all saw last night, werewolves are real. Alaric says they learn that in Grade 6 but he is more interested in learning who Rafael killed recently; the question leaves Landon stumped.

Rafael is getting a quick tour before his fellow wolf brothers snatch him up and he bonds with his own kind. He finds out that Penelope Park (Lulu Antariksa) is Josie’s “evil” ex and who messes up on a spell in class; they continue their tour by bringing him to where the seniors smoke weed.

Alaric reveals the werewolf curse remains dormant until it they kill someone. Landon insists he isn’t a killer, but Alaric says he read some of his background. Hope says they are only trying to help and this is a safe place for people like him. Landon says he killed his girlfriend, Cassie (Erinn Westbrook) in an accident last month. Alaric thanks him for the honesty; Hope looks him in the eyes and tells Alaric they are ready.

Milton “MG” Gladstone (Quincy Fouse), is a Vampire and Alaric’s student aide, as Alaric says he doesn’t intend for Landon to not remember any of it. MG is unable to compel Landon and they have to bring him to the cellar, Alaric saying this is very bad. Landon has bad memories of when he was a child being locked in the closet; he tells Hope he isn’t good about being in small spaces. He wants to know where Rafael is; Hope tells him he needs to wait for the vervain to get out of his system. She can’t stay with him, but admits it was nice to see him again.

The twins show Rafael the game called Wickery, as Josie tells MG she is still healing over Penelope. Lizzie talks to Rafael, that she knows about his girlfriend, but everyone is happy to know he is single. He says he’s made it a point in his life to stay away from girls like her. Hope and Alaric train by the water, as she taunts him, saying he should let a Vampire train her since he is getting a little old for her to break his bones. He reminds her that its best for her to avoid all emotions when it comes to mortals, because they only survive when they follow the rules. He reminds her to make an actual friend there and then they can reevaluate their relationship as student and headmaster; they are interrupted by Josie, who says they need to help Lizzie in the kitchen, who is destroying the kitchen.

Hope lays in bed, reading a book, while Landon tries to rest in his cage. Hope finally dresses and sits outside his bars and talks to him about all the business inside her body. He smiles, remembering about the time they danced in the time square and it was just like him to crush on the girl with the most baggage. He says she tends to leave a lot, but she insists it dangerous for people for her to be around. She hates that he has questions, but as soon as she leaves, his door opens; but when he walks out he is dragged away by something invisible.

Landon stands up in the middle of the woods and finds Rafael where he learns he was brought out by a summoning spell. He sees all this magic all around him and that Rafael is doing well; Landon thinks it’s best that he jumps the fence and disappear but Rafael feels that it should be the two of them together so Landon suggests to get them a drink. Rafael gets called away by a couple of the guys and Landon takes the time to vanish into the woods.

Alaric helps Lizzie with meditation, but she wants to use magic. He says it’s her magic that gets her into trouble; Lizzie asks her dad if he thinks she is broken. He doesn’t think so but feels his biological mother’s crazy ass witch ancestors left her with a legacy of darkness she has to work through. Josie doesn’t have it because she has a co-dependency that Lizzie doesn’t have. He encourages her not to hold anything against Hope because she has lost a lot, but once again Hope interferes with her time with Alaric, informing him that she is restless and needs a release herself. He tells Hope to use the back acres but stay from the Mill as the Heathens are having a party he is about to breakup; Lizzie is upset she is missing a party.

Josie spots Penelope, but is able to talk to Rafael who opens up about Cassie. They can agree about how deeply they loved and he assures Josie that her caring too much is not a problem. Josie asks him to give Lizzie a second chance because she is the best person she knows. Meanwhile, Landon encounters a wolf while he tries to escape the woods. Hope jumps on top of him, asking him if he is crazy, saying she almost killed him!

Hope brings Landon back to the Salvatore Library, telling him not to touch anything. She apologizes to him, saying he shouldn’t have been out there. He asks if she is a werewolf, but she says she is a lot of things and they will just make him forget tomorrow. He asks her to “humor” him. MG and Penelope are in the kitchen, where he says he has the munchies; she offers her neck. He says they could get in trouble and he declines but she is an equal opportunist and wants to know if he will suck her dry. He is about to give into his cravings, but Josie finds them and he stops when she calls his name.

Hope reveals to Landon that her blood in her veins isn’t human. Her dad was one of the Earth’s Original Vampires – Klaus Mikaelson: The Great Evil (Joseph Morgan). Her mother was a Werewolf Alpha – Hayley Marshall (Phoebe Tonkin). Hope says the people she care about, end up dying on her, so she tries not getting close to people any more. Her grandmother was a witch, so that makes her a… Landon calls her a Unicorn, which makes her smile. She says that makes her a tribrid of all three creatures and the only one of her kind. She wants to show him something about the day they had that dance and what she did to the guys who made fun of him. He is surprised she did that for him and says they need to go as they shouldn’t be there after curfew.

Josie joins Lizzie in bed, telling her that she just saw MG with his tongue down Penelope’s throat. Lizzie feels he should know better than to make out with the Dark Lord. She feels Josie should focus on someone new, as a good crush will even her out. Lizzie is setting her sights on Rafael if he will give her a chance.

In the cage, Hope asks Landon to give his hands. She makes the room open so he can see the skies in hopes that will make him sleep. He tells her than she is a nice person and asks if this is the part where she runs, sad that he won’t remember any of this. He grabs her and kisses her anyways.

Alaric asks Landon if he is ready for round two, now that it’s been 24 hours. Landon asks if he can stay, saying he can do the chores around there, but Alaric insists he doesn’t belong at the school. Alaric tells Landon to not mistake these kids, they are predator creatures; who are driven by their need to kill! He insists that it simply isn’t safe for him to be there. MG returns to compel Landon, promising Rafael will be looked after here.

Rafael and Landon say their goodbyes as Hope watches from inside, touching her lips and smiling. The Witch Teacher informs Alaric the knife that was in the library Hope and Landon were looking at the night before is missing. Alaric confronts Hope, who swears Landon isn’t a liar and is positive it’s not him. Alaric reveals he didn’t go home, and the compelling didn’t work and that can only mean Landon is a supernatural being. Landon is spotted on the bus with the knife, leaving town.

Everyone from Salvatore School has a meeting where Alaric announces that the school has been breached, and for 10 years they have been able to remain quiet, but now they need to find Landon Kirby before he exposes them all. MG tries to talk to Josie, while she wonders why everyone finds Penelope so special, he says they only find her “available”. Josie sees Penelope and sets her arm on fire as Hope watches on.

Hope finds Josie in her room and says she can track Landon, but need her dark magic; she says they can’t use it, but she reveals that she saw her light her ex’s arm on fire earlier. Together they can be kindred spirits seeking vengeance and work a tracking spell to find Landon. Josie asks Hope if she is sure and begin their chant. Suddenly, they are able to see Landon’s face, the route 29 and where the bus is headed as the blade lights up bright red.

Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) tells Alaric that the story is a chemical spill but he is leaving the real story up to Alaric. They approach the bus where everyone is burnt to a crisp as Hope says Landon is not to hero of her story at all and when she hunts him down she will be the villain of his!

THE END!
