SWAT begins tonight with Daniel Hondo Harrelson (Shemar Moore) and Nia Wells (Nikiva Dionne) getting dressed after spending another night in a hotel. She asks him to drop the key off on his way out; but Hondo gets a call from his sister, Bri who is at a club, saying she was roofied. He tells her to go to a bathroom and lock the door. She says he is coming as he asks where she is. Hondo calls Rubina (Samira Izadi) to find out where Bri called from. Hondo rushes into the club’s bathroom, where he finds his sister unconscious and EMTs take her away; Hondo doesn’t learn much about the guy other than he was white and a cheap tipster.

David Deacon Kay (Jay Harrington) and Victor Tan (David Lim) walk through headquarters as he talks about how they were supposed to go on an anniversary picnic, but he can’t risk saying no to Captain Jessica Cortez (Stephanie Sigman) right now. Jessica greets them, saying they are down 10 officers and hopes for a quiet day.

Christina “Chris” Alonso (Lina Esco) meets Dominique Luca (Kenny Johnson) and Jim Street (Alex Russell) at Lucas new place; she talks to Kenny about all the repairs he needs to do because it is obvious neither of them has done renos before. She calls her Uncle for help. Meanwhile, there is a robbery in progress at a local pharmacy, they want all the drugs but are distracted by two customers. The pharmacist used his shotgun and shoots the female robber; she shoots him back shouting, “Payback!”

SWAT is on its way with Jeff Mumford (Peter Onorati) and Deacon explaining what they are to expect. Tan says the pharmacist doesn’t look good but the thieves are eating the drugs like its a buffet. Mumford wants to go in with a breach and bang, but not front entry. He asks for someone’s worst music ever on their phone, they blame it on a megaphone, distracting the robbers as they breach the pharmacy.

Mumford rejoins the team, who all joke about him retiring; but once he comes outside he realizes one of the male hostages is Charlie Moss, one of their most wanted fugitives. They learn from the detective (Alaina Fleming) that the hostage went to make a phone call, but they find that he stabbed an EMT and stole an ambulance.

Back at HQ, they learn that Charlie Moss is wanted on 3 counts of murder and 1 attempted; his nickname is the Silicone Slasher; Rocker (Lou Ferrigno Jr.) had no idea who he was and Mumford suggest he look at the fugitive list every once in a while. They figure he is after the COO of the company he lost millions to and their offices are now in LA; Jessica sends them right over to their offices.

Hondo talks to the doctor, who says his sister, Bri is lucky but will have a severe headache from the drugs; but she was lucky as the most time she is also doing a rape kit. Hondo tells Bri she fell and hit her head and the guy never made it through the door. She begs him not to tell their dad and begins to blame herself for putting her drink down as she knows the rules; she explains what happened. She believes the guy’s name is Liam.

Hondo immediately goes to see Detective Barker (Frank Bond) who says there have been 3 rapes in the past month, but no DNA evidence and no witnesses. He gets this is important to Hondo, but he has too many other cases to deal with; Hondo wants to talk the other victims, saying he made a mistake going after his sister.

Chris returns with her crew, who says they are doing this as they owe her a favor, after teasing Luca for even purchasing the house.

Hondo tells Nia about what happened to Bri, revealing she’s his half-sister and wasn’t there when she was growing up but is trying to be there now. He is hoping that another victim will open up to Nia, women to women. She reminds him 60 men get arrested for rape but only 7 get convicted; Hondo wants to make sure he is one of those seven. Nia talks to Sasha (Kerry Knuppe) about her assault, who feels women are not believed and shamed as they always walk. Nia insists they cannot give up as Sasha says she cannot remember anything and tells them to never contact her again; Nia hopes she is talking to someone to help her get through this, she does take Hondo’s card before she leaves. She does remember his smell as she couldn’t wash it off. He smelled like rotten eggs.

Mumford and his team are greeted by Dani Weston, chief of security who informs them that Martin left for a conference until Monday and there is no way Charlie will get into this building, positive it’s more secure than the White House. As they walk through the building, Tan talks about how Bonnie wants to get married, but Deacon realizes one of the workers is wearing the same shirt as one of the hostages from the pharmacy and they learn her name is Debra (Candace Hammer), which isn’t the name she gave them earlier. They’re sure if they find Debra, they find Charlie as they must have been together.

Luca and Jim are outside when a young boy is playing with a basketball; they wave to his mom as he introduces himself as Timo (Justin Alan). He can’t understand why Luca and Street would live there. His mother calls him over, but when Street asks him if he wants to play ball later, he says his mom won’t let him play there; its obvious because of the gangsters hanging out there.

SWAT drives up to a house they figure Debra and Charlie are handing out at. She is holding a bottle, threatening to drop it and kill them all, but Deacon grabs her from behind and Mumford grabs the bottle before it smashes.

Hondo talks to Bri, revealing that Sasha told him about the smell of rotten eggs. Bri says in art school they used a resin that smelled like that; Hondo realizes the club is in the art district and possibly he could be a sculpture; Bri remembers all the weird scars he had on his hands. Hondo returns to HQ, where Rubina figures out the area the suspect probably lives in; there are no artists named Liams but she found two Williams. Hondo wants her to send him both photos and is off again.

Deacon updates Jessica, saying Debra and Charlie are definitely a couple but their concern is there is still ricin out there. Suddenly it dawns on them that Charlie isn’t just going after the boss, he is going after the entire company.

Bri is able to identify who “Liam” is, but without physical evidence, there is nothing they can do; she is flabbergasted that he will get away with it and do it to more women. Hondo leaves the hospital and goes to William’s gallery, saying he is neither browsing nor shopping; asking where Mr. Tanner was last night. He says he was working, but Hondo recognizes the ink on his hand from the club. Hondo confronts him about slipping a roofie in a woman’s drink the previous night and Liam calls her a liar.

Hondo says that woman is his sister; asking if he would allow him to search the place for drugs and he tells Hondo he doesn’t like that he is intimidating him and besides his sister was so drunk she couldn’t stand up straight and definitely wasn’t his type. He suggests checking the cameras, even though he knows they don’t have any. He accuses Hondo of scaring away his clients and accusing him of being a rapist without any evidence. He tells Hondo to respect his rights and leave.

Hondo walks out and bags something from his trash, saying if he didn’t rape anyone then it won’t match any DNA in the system. He threatens him saying if he hurts another woman he will bypass his little security system and wait inside until he gets home and while he is doing something; Hondo’s face will be the last one he ever sees, as he isn’t the only one who can get away with things! Jessica calls him away as Liam just looks angrily at him.

Luca and Street walk over to the public space, where they try to make some peace. Chris runs out of the house, saying they have a delicate situation and need extra bodies; they all roll out. SWAT is busy vacating the building when Deacon learns Debra is dating Joe the maintenance man who has access to the entire building; everyone worried about the ricin exposure.

Dani goes with SWAT, who find Joe dead in the computer room. She tells them their security system recognizes faces or fingerprints; Luca lifts Joe’s hand, revealing his index finger is gone. Dani checks the system and learns she is locked out. Chris reveals he is on the third floor that has access to the COO’s office and the roof; Mumford realizes he is after the central air system as that will spread the ricin everywhere. Charlie is in complete control of the building, locking all the doors and everyone is stuck inside. Tan and Street try to shoot out the front doors, which are bulletproof. Hondo realizes his entire team is inside.

SWAT on the roof announces they have 60 seconds as ricin is in the air system and they have to get everyone out. Hondo blows the doors open and Mumford gives chase after Charlie, jumping from one building to the next. Street and Hondo find the AC power panel as Chris, Luca and Deacon are out of charges, and Mumford is alone with Charlie. Hondo cuts the AC to the building with a knife and Mumford and Charlie fight at the top of a staircase as Luca tries using a crowbar to open the door; Chris knows she can’t shoot.

Charlie has the knife at Mumford’s neck, but he is able to tackle him when the others arrive; he tells them, “It took you long enough!”

Jessica thanks Hondo for coming in on his day off, but had she known what happened to his sister, she wouldn’t have called him in. Hondo said he would be there. Luca wants to know what happened to Bri as Hondo says she is fine now. Jessica congratulates Mumford, who says the EMTs cleared him; she says Charlie and Debra were planning this for months and they stopped him. Its the end of shift and they should enjoy.

Luca invites everyone to a party at his place to fire up the grill as Tan says he has to get home to his anniversary. Deacon has to go to a security gig. Mumford has to get home to Nikki as Luca says it is just him, Street and Chris. Tan reveals Bonnie wants him to meet her parents and wants to know how Deacon knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with someone. He reminds him that they are lucky to get 50 years with someone. You don’t want to marry the wrong woman but you don’t want to be so scared you die single.

They say goodnight to Mumford, who says Tan did great in the major leagues that he might be lucky enough to get drafted. Mumford leans his head against the locker, carefully removing his shirt, in excruciating pain.

Hondo tells Nia he had a talk with William and got a sample of his DNA. He sits down, revealing that he threatened to kill him if he ever did it again and it felt righteous. Nia reminds him that William is a suspected rapist, she gets he is angry and there is a part of her that wants him to do more than just threaten; but he needs to get a handle on this before it takes him somewhere he can’t come back from. She just dragged herself out of a messy marriage and this was supposed to be a fun time and she might be bringing the worst out of him. He believes he isn’t what she signed up for and they both knew it wasn’t going to be long term. She wants to see him deal with this but she isn’t the one to help him and they both agree to take a break. Hondo tells her to take care of herself as she leaves.

Some of the neighbors come for the BBQ at Luca’s, where he also thanks them for making the basketball court for the neighborhood. Street learns that when her cousin was 12, he had leukemia and Chris was matched and donated bone marrow to save his life. She is embarrassed but now everyone knows. They begin to play basketball but the other kids won’t join in, other than Timo. Shorty arrives with his crew in the car, he parks and Luca says he isn’t there to hassle anyone on their off time; not looking for trouble. Shorty says it is their neighborhood and they don’t, but they will figure that out soon enough and they roll out.

Bri packs her stuff as Hondo reveals he found the guy and talked to him, saying he doesn’t believe he will hurt anyone else; especially her. He wraps his arms around her, saying he will take her home and loves her.

THE END!
