On tonight’s Take Two season 1 episode 6 as per the ABC synopsis, “Bounty hunter Piper Mannox shows up at Valetik Investigations asking Eddie and Sam for help to find an escaped prisoner who killed a guard on his way to freedom. Eddie is hesitant to work with Piper again due to their tumultuous past and her lack of moral code. However, with his cop connections, her experience finding fugitives and a quarter million dollar reward, it makes it difficult for Eddie and Sam to say no. Meanwhile, Sam feels a strong connection to Piper and turns into her biggest fan.”

Bounty hunter Piper Mannox shows up at Valetik Investigations and makes quite the entrance when she grabs Eddie’s gun and he tackles her to the floor and takes it back. Piper and Eddie worked on the same side in the past. Piper tells Eddie that there is an escaped prisoner on the loose that killed a guard and there is a half million on his head. Sam tells Piper that she is the first bounty hunter she has ever met, Piper cuts her off and tells Eddie she wants to team up with him. Eddie says everyone in the city is going to be looking for the guy, Piper says she has a lead. Eddie gives in but tells Piper she has to play by his rules and no breaking the law.
Berto tells Monica about the case, Monica wants in. The fugitive’s name is Ryan Conrad and Eddie, Sam and Piper head to his foster mom, Janice Wilkinson’s house to see if she knows anything. Eddie and Sam go to the front of the house and speak to Janice, Sam says they are scouting locations; meanwhile, Piper is out back keeping an eye in case Conrad is there and sneaks out. Janice figures why they are there and tells them to leave, Piper sneaks in the back, she gets bear bottles with fingerprints and his prison suit.
Berto gets info on Conrad, he has been in and out of prison but the cops have never been able to pin anything on him. Conrad had five months left and escaped. Eddie doesn’t buy it, there has to be a reason why he escaped. Piper got a match on the beer bottle prints, Jimmy Tobin, the most notorious gun runner in LA.
Sam and Piper are alone, she asks her how she became a badass. Piper says its the rush, she loves the feeling when she takes someone down, it is better than sex. Peper gets a message, her lead found Tobin, he’s at a biker bar with a love hardened criminals, Sam wants to join but Piper doesn’t think she should.
Piper tells Sam she looks like Olivia Newton-John at the end of Greece. In the bar, Piper spots Tobin right away. A guy pulls a knife on Piper and she smashes a beer bottle over his head. Some guy grabs Piper out of the room, Sam tells everyone it is a misunderstanding. Tobin tells Sam she is going nowhere, he shows her that he has a tattoo of her on his arm and he wants her to sign it.
Eddie is in bed, Sam and Eddie are there. Sam tells him they were at the Pistol Room, Eddie says they are lucky they didn’t get a bullet in their heads. Sam says that Tobin gave a car and a gun because Conrad is going after his ex-girlfriend. Eddie says there was a girl named Gina that Conrad was writing to.
Eddie and Sam track down Gina, she is on her way out, she knows that Conrad is after her – she is pregnant and she says Conrad is crazy, says he is going to make her pay since she is pregnant. Eddie asks if she has someone to go, she says no, the father is out of the picture. Sam gives her cell phone number to Gina who reveals that when Conrad wanted to chill there was this particular hotel that he used to chill at.
Eddie and Sam are at the Crossroads Motel. Eddie is mad at Piper for putting Sam in a dangerous position, Sam thinks he should let it go. Gina calls Sam, tells her she is safe. Eddie gets out of the car to go see if Conrad checked in at the front desk. Sam is alone in the car when she sees Conrad and goes after him but he sees her and grabs her.
Berto is wondering why Conrad got transferred to LA County when he sees Gina. Meanwhile, Eddie gets back to the car and Sam is nowhere there. Sam comes running out of an alley and tells Eddie that Conrad caught her and she pretended to be a tourist so he let her go. She says that Conrad had the numbers 738 written on his hand, Gina’s house number. Eddie gets a call from Berto, tells him that Gina just got home.
Eddie is at Gina’s house, Berto tells him she is still inside. Eddie picks the lock and they are in. Eddie raises his gun, Sam is behind him. Piper is in the house, she is dressed in a Gina wig. All of a sudden, Conrad is there and Eddie tackles him to the floor. Piper pulls a gun on Eddie and tells him she will take it from there. Piper ties up Eddie and Sam, she takes Conrad.
Sam is able to get Eddie’s lockpick out of his pocket, he manages to free them. Piper never took Conrad in, Sam is worried that she could be in trouble. Berto and Monica checked Conrad’s transfer, it was requested by Lawmen for Justice, Judge Chamber’s political action committee. Judge Chambers was connected to Deacon, a mob boss. Eddie goes to see Deacon and asks why he wanted Conrad transferred. Deacon tells Eddie that they are both on the same side, Conrad is a menace to society. Deacon turns around and says November 2nd, 2014, look into it.
Monica finds a connection to the date, there was a girl named Sierra that was murdered on November 2nd, 2014 and there was not enough evidence to charge Conrad. Sam sees in a photo of the girl that she is wearing the same pendant that Piper had on. Sam thinks Conrad is in danger, that Piper is going to kill him.
Berto found that Piper got a huge amount of money wired to her account just before she showed up at the agency and it was sent by the same company offering the reward for Conrad, Lawmen for Justice.
Piper has property in the mountains, Eddie and Sam are heading there. Sam and Eddie arrive there and find Conrad digging a whole with Piper holding a gun on him, she tells him that she is going to make him suffer just like he made Sierra suffer.
Same tells Piper if she kills Conrad she is no better than him. Sam asks Piper to think of Sierra when Eddie jumps her and grabs her gun. Sam pulls a gun on Conrad. Piper says that she was given the money to find Conrad and figured she would take the money and find him for herself. Piper reveals that Lawmen for Justice paid her the money but insisted that Eddie had to be on the case.
Eddie and Sam are going through Deacon’s prison files, they are trying to figure everything out. Sam finds the accounting firm’s name where Conrad’s ex-works. The prosecution’s key witness is an accountant that worked at that firm, it is Alex, Gina’s baby daddy and he is in prison. This isn’t a prison transfer, Deacon is using Conrad to take out Alex. Eddie goes to see Deacon and tells him everything he knows. Eddie asks Deacon why he took him in, he says because he wanted him to watch. Deacon tells Eddie he didn’t kill Alex, he did. Sam goes to see Piper and tells her the prosecution is reopening Sierra’s case.
Eddie is home having a drink when Sam arrives with snacks and movies, she tells him not to beat himself up. Sam says Alex didn’t die because of him, he died because of Deacon.
