The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Devon (Bryton James) will struggle with grief. He was doing OK for a while, but another wave of mourning will hit hard. The holiday season is approaching, so that’ll be part of the problem. Since Thanksgiving is coming up, Devon will have to face it without Hilary (Mishael Morgan) by his side.
As a result, Devon will decide he could use a distraction. He won’t want to face his family this year, so he’ll come up with another plan. Y&R fans will see Devon throw a huge party. He’ll invite some Hamilton-Winters employees along with all their friends. Devon will have the cool crowd over for some booze and the loudest tunes he can find.
Of course, Devon won’t have any fun at this shindig. He may plaster on a smile, but he’ll be hurting deep down. This big bash will just be a way to mask the pain. Devon received plenty of support right after Hilary’s death, but everyone’s moving on now. Unfortunately, Devon’s still stuck in a dark place. He can’t just go about his business like everybody else and be totally fine.
After Devon skips some family time, Nate (Brooks Darnell) will get agitated. He’ll confront Devon and scold him for ignoring the people who love him. Nate won’t get why Devon’s shutting them out and hanging around party guests he doesn’t really know.
Nate will try to tell Devon how to grieve, which won’t go over well. He’s got experience in the bereavement department, but that doesn’t mean Devon’s experience will be the same. Nevertheless, it’s clear that Devon’s headed for trouble. He’ll end up getting drunk as his own party, so the next morning will bring a terrible hangover.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon will wake up and take in the scene. His penthouse will be totally trashed. As Devon looks around, he’ll spot a cracked picture frame with Hilary’s photo inside. Devon will likely get choked up as he thinks about his relationship and how it was broken through death. He’ll be distraught as he tries to get through the painful week ahead.
