The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor's Murder Rap Provokes Coverup Crew Reveal

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that the murder rap Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) applies to Victor (Eric Braeden) will, by necessity, reveal the coverup crew’s involvement in J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) accidental death. However, the Moustache’s current inability to be located gives Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) a bit of breathing room before it all comes out in the wash.

Speaking of clothing, J.T.’s bloody shirt being found at the Ranch, along with a gun containing Victor’s fingerprints surely does make Mr. Newman look guilty. However, Rey doesn’t know what Nikki, her cohorts, including Vickie (Amelia Heinle), Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), Sharon (Sharon Case), and the audience does. Victor remains J.T.’s two-time victim and wasn’t his assailant last April.

Credit to Y&R for elaborating on a storyline that could have ended this summer, or fall. While it’s true that this arc has been stretched, the tentacles of this story now include characters who weren’t even on the show when Luckinbill’s revived character departed. The plot strategy is smart, in that it allows Vilasuso’s alter ego and others to become part of engaged viewer’s daily-watch plan.

Of course hardcore Genoa City observers want to know where J.T.’s body is and who moved it. They are keenly interested in learning whether Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) is not only the self-acknowledged blackmailer, but is also an arsonist. Along with those points, Y&R fans are becoming emotionally attached to the new residents that are directly and indirectly connected to this hybrid murder-mystery storyline.

Miss Porter’s claim that she didn’t know J.T.’s body had been dug up and moved from Chancellor Park hasn’t been fully accepted by any of the people who are aware of her denial. Considering recent and past history, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and the coverup crew can’t be blamed for distrusting Tessa, or for wondering if she’s behind the property destruction at the Ranch.

Meanwhile, Victor’s reappearance on Y&R in recent weeks via video chat sessions now makes deeper sense. He was supposed to be waiting for Summer’s (Hunter King) arrival, but then can’t be found? This legacy and lead male character was reintroduced in order to establish his temporary disappearance in order to further what’s about to go down.

So, the Black Knight, Jack’s (Peter Bergman) always apt nickname, is not really missing. Victor will soon play a major part in the heightening climax to one of Y&R’s more complex thrillers in recent years. The Moustache is expected back onscreen December 21.
