At the wedding, Lani chooses to save Julie’s life, even if means sacrificing her happiness. Doing as Gabi instructed, Lani breaks up with Eli at the altar. He chases after her and tries to figure out what is going on. All Lani can really tell him is that she doesn’t love him anymore. However, fans know the truth.
Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Gabi isn’t quite done with her revenge plan. She wants to make sure that “Elani” don’t get back together. The widow decides to “comfort” Eli as he copes with a broken heart. Then, she takes things a step further by urging the commissioner to forget about Lani. However, he isn’t pleased with her “advice” and doesn’t want to forget the woman he loves. Lamon Archey discussed the storyline to Soap Opera Digest.
“She’s telling him that Lani isn’t any good enough for him. But he’s not in the mood for any negativity. He just wants to get to the bottom of what happened.”
Eli ends up talking to Julie about what happened at the wedding. The matriarch gives her grandson some advice.She tells him to find Lani, tell the detective that he loves her and insist on making it work. Julie’s words put a fire in Eli as he is determined to figure out what is going on with Lani.
DOOL spoilers indicate that eventually the truth will come out. However, will Lani tell Eli and the others what she is going through? Will she finally have enough and name Gabi as her tormentor? That there is a phone app on Gabi’s phone that could end Julie’s life? It isn’t clear how the truth will be revealed, but hopefully, it won’t result in any fatalities.
