Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Haley Chen (Thia Megia) will soon let JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) in on her big secret. Haley has faced intense pressure from her sister Melinda Trask (Laura Kai Chen) to keep something big under wraps. Haley is an undocumented immigrant, and that poses some big problems for Melinda.
Melinda is planning on running for mayor of Salem, but if it gets out that her sister is in the country illegally, it could have serious ramifications for her campaign. The pressure on Haley to keep everything under wraps got so intense that she even tried to take her own life. It’s a bad situation.
And it doesn’t help Haley that JJ seems hell-bent on finding out her secret. JJ spied Melinda and Haley together, and he suspects that they’re related and that Melinda is pressuring Haley about something. JJ only wants the truth because he knows that the secret and all of Melinda’s pressure is having a terrible effect on Haley’s psychological state.
Well, soon JJ will get the truth. According to Days of Our Lives spoilers, Haley will finally come clean with JJ and tell him about her immigration status. JJ will likely be shocked, and probably a bit peeved at Melinda for pressuring and distancing herself from Haley.
Days of Our Lives spoilers also say that JJ will want to be Haley’s hero, so it looks like he’ll get to work to try to solve her immigration problem. Perhaps he’ll start checking into paths to citizenship, and the various options that Haley has available to her.
Of course, Haley will probably just want JJ to leave things alone and not try to fix her problem for her. But that likely won’t stop JJ, since he likes to fix problems and take care of the people he cares about.
How long until JJ gets the bright idea to marry Haley as a way to make her residency in the country legit? In TV land, that always works to solve immigration issues. He’d probably suggest a marriage of convenience, but the two would have to live together to make it look like a real marriage.
Of course, this might not help Melinda that much, because if someone snooped around Haley’s past, they might still find that she was an undocumented immigrant before her marriage…but at least she wouldn’t still be undocumented.
