Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Haley Chen (This Megia) will have a surprising connection to a Salem family. So far, Haley has been primarily interacting with JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss), and for good reason.
JJ saved Haley after she attempted suicide shortly before Christmas. The two are becoming friends and Haley even accompanied JJ to the Horton Center New Year’s Eve party.
In the coming days, JJ will want to learn more about Haley, and in particular what was going on in her life that led to her suicide attempt. He might suspect that she had a relationship problem or some family problems that got to be too much to take.
As it will turn out, Haley will be part of a family that JJ and other Salemites are already familiar with. According to Days of Our Lives spoilers, Haley will soon share the screen with District Attorney Melinda Trask (Laura Kai Chen), and Days buzz is that the two will be related, possibly mother and daughter.
Viewers will remember Melinda from her relentless prosecution of various Salem residents in the past. Most recently, she decided to drop murder charges against Abigail Deveraux (portrayed then by Marci Miller) when Abigail was accused of murdering Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis). Most of the time, though, Melinda is a shark and she doesn’t back down to anyone.
But how might Melinda be as a mother? Could she and Haley be estranged? Days spoilers say that Melinda will give Haley a serious directive…she’ll tell Haley to “take care of” JJ. What could this mean?
Perhaps there is a family secret related to Haley’s suicide attempt that Melinda doesn’t want getting out and she wants JJ to stop digging into Haley’s life.
