On tonight’s Evil season 1 episode 6 as per the CBS synopsis, “The Catholic Church asks Kristen, David and Ben to assess the veracity of a local prophetess, Grace Ling, and they are shaken when they see one of her visions come to life.
Also, David struggles with jealousy when he sees God speaking with the prophetess, and to Kristen’s dismay, her mother, Sheryl, and Leland begin a relationship.”

Tonight on Evil, tonight the team investigates a prophet, Grace a woman who works in daycare she claims that God speaks to her. They begin to question her David asks what does God want of him, and she says he’s in danger due to his visions. She tells Kristen to stay clear of the color red.
The team is asked to check Graces’ prophecies and see if they are correct. One of the prophecies being a sinkhole comes true, but Ben and Kristen think it’s more scientific.
David is still upset about Kristen switching the holy water with plain water at the last exorcism. Leland and Kristen’s mother Sheryl are seen getting close and hanging out at a club.
Later on that night Kristen dreams about the argument she and David have but instead of her storming off they begin to kiss and he turns into the demon George who’s been haunting, she immediately jumps out of her sleep. She discusses the dream with her shrink, he suggests she try lucid dreams to control her dreaming. Kristen goes home later that night and begins to dream of the demon again and she attempts to control the dreams she’s having
Kristen returns to the prophet Grace to ask her about her daughter’s health and if it’ll improve she tells her it will but Kristen doesn’t believe her or the prophets methods of getting answers by her blowing into a ball, she says she does this when Gods voice gets low it helps her hear him better.
David asks the Monsignor why they are pursuing this case he shows them a book of prophecies that no one has ever seen or heard of besides the popes, but the prophet Grace seems to know all the prophecies within that book and he wants to know how because they are dangerous to everyone and asks David to translate the book and it predicts the end of the Catholic Church which is why the book remained hidden.
David goes to ask the prophet more questions to find out if Grace a false prophet, he goes home and drinks some tea that makes him see visions, and Kristen comes over to see him in that state and she feels uncomfortable.
Leland shows up to Kristen’s home with Sheryl and the children there for dinner, Kristen comes home to find Leland singing with her children, he claims he didn’t know Sheryl was her mother, clearly, a lie Kristen knows he’s telling. She tells Leland to follow her to the garage to talk where she picks up a knife and cuts him and tells him to never return back to her home or see her mother Sheryl again. Kristen returns to the house acting frantic and Sheryl wants to know what’s going on Kristen tries to warn her about Leland being dangerous but Sheryl refuses to listen. Kristen plays Sheryl recording of Leland saying bad things to Kristen. Sheryl tells Leland she decided to put her family fort but they share an intimate moment and the bed is seen with flames surrounding it, the next morning Sheryl awakes and goes into her closet and picks a red dress out.
David returns to Monsignor with a drawing from Grace and it matches a page from the Codex prophecies depicting the world ending. He asks them to have Grace draw more to find out what she knows about the book.
The team returns to visit Grace but there has been a raid at the daycare and ICE detained her and a couple of kids. They head down to where Grace is being held and asks her to draw to try to fill the missing pieces of the Codex but the guards throw away her drawings.
