General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Brook Lynn Ashton (Amanda Setton) is returning to Port Charles at the perfect time. She could stir up some serious trouble and perhaps reunite with an old love while she’s at it. Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) also made a GH comeback recently, so there’s the potential for a reunion here. Will Brook Lynn and Nikolas rekindle their steamy romance? What will happen between these former lovers?
Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) has always been insanely jealous of Brook Lynn and Nik’s relationship. “Drew Cain” aka Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) has decided to go through with the memory procedure, but that doesn’t mean it’ll work – at least not the way Liz wants. Once Nikolas reveals himself to Port Charles, it could create some messy romantic situations.
Will Liz be pulled toward Nick after his presence is made known? General Hospital fans know Liz tried every way possible to keep Brook and Nik apart. That happened during their brief romance before Jake Spencer (Hudson West) was thought to have been killed.
Nik eventually broke up with Brook and urged her to leave town while he supported Liz and Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson). Will Nik’s return cause issues for Liz and Franco, especially with Brook Lynn in town? That’s certainly a possibility to consider.
Brook cared for Nik when she left town to join a band with his encouragement. She was quite interested in Nikolas before she left, so could those feelings be revived? Will Brook Lynn realize she’s still carrying a torch for Nik after she sees him?
Brook would have to decide if she’s willing gamble on Nik after how things went down last time. She may think it’d mean risking a broken heart all over again. Nikolas wouldn’t commit during their previous romance, so Brook Lynn would have a tough decision to make.
Of course, there’s the matter of Nik’s freedom to consider. Nikolas helped Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) escape from prison. Before that, he helped Cassandra flee WSB custody. Nik also faked his death twice and will probably find more ways to screw up soon. He could be facing a ton of charges, so his freedom isn’t guaranteed – at least not initially after his return is exposed.
However, Nikolas isn’t going anywhere and will have to be cleared eventually. That could leave the door open for Nik and Brook to get back together. Fans of the couple can only hope that a Brook Lynn recast will have the same chemistry with Nik as before. It could be tricky with a new actor playing the role of Nikolas as well, but Setton and Coloma seem like they could sell some sizzle!
