General Hospital spoilers tease that Dominic Zamprogna, formerly Dante Falconeri and now Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Rylan) ex-husband in the GH soap, is producing a new film. Zamprogno has enjoyed success in the entertainment industry since leaving his full-time General Hospital role and it appears the fan-favorite is set to continue on from triumph tp triumph.
The New Film Is A Biopic On The Life Of Charles Ponzi
The new film is the true story of the life of Charles Ponzi, an Italian immigrant who became infamous for inventing “The Ponzi Scheme” and is based on the novel by author Donald Dunn, “Ponzi: The Incredible True Story Of The King Of Financial Cons. The story begins with Ponzi and his wife immigrating to the United States at the turn of the 20th century and looking for success in the great American land of opportunity. Dominic will be producing this film with Travis Schneider under Flag On The Play Productions.
Dominic Zamprogna Started On General Hospital On June 22, 2009
Dominic Zamprogna started on General Hospital on June 22, 2009 under the character name “Dominic Pirelli.” He came from New York City to Port Charles operating as an undercover cop who had infiltrated the Zacchara crime family, with orders to kill Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). It was eventually revealed, through the interference of Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and others that he is really Dante Falconeri, the son of Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) the cousin of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) then fiancé Kate Howard aka Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) and Sonny.
Sonny didn’t know of Dante because Olivia never told him back in Bensonhurst. Sonny was one of the last ones to know that Dominic was really Dante when at Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) christening, he shot Dominic and Olivia barged in and frantically told him he’d shot his own son! Dante eventually recovered from his bullet wound and joined the Port Charles Police Department under his own name.
Dante Falconeri Fell In Love With Lulu Spencer
As General Hospital viewers will recall, Dante eventually met, fell in love with, and married Lulu Spencer amid strenuous objections by her brother Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) and half-brother Ethan Lovett (Nathan Parsons) but gradually was accepted into the family. Sonny worked with Dante for a couple of years before he finally accepted him as his father instead of a criminal he had to take down, and eventually he and Lulu gave Sonny a grandson, Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan).
Dante then took a job as a WSB operative to find and take down Raj Patel (Noshir Dalal) a crime lord who once tried to kill Lulu; he went rogue and Sonny, with Robert Scorpio’s (Tristan Rogers) help, found him in Turkey and brought him back to Port Charles; however, Dante had a serious case of brainwashing and PTSD so it did not work out for him to safely remain with his family and he sought treatment through the WSB. His last appearance on General Hospital was March 29, 2019.
