General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, August 23, tease that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will worry about Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). At GH, Michael will be wearing a hospital gown and surgical mask as he approaches Sasha’s bed. Sasha will seem feverish and out of it as she wonders if all this is the punishment she deserves.
Of course, Sasha will think maybe her daughter deception has earned her this illness. Michael won’t understand, so he’ll probably have some questions for Sasha once she’s well enough to answer. In the meantime, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will find himself flummoxed. He’ll feel stuck on this case, but progress will finally be made in the week ahead.
Until then, we can watch Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) intimidate Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Robert has already made it clear where he stands on Peter. He doesn’t trust the guy and probably never will. That’s why Robert will deliver a warning in Friday’s episode.
It looks like he may fear Peter will stick his nose where it doesn’t belong. Robert’s determined to make sure Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) remains at Pentonville for many years to come. He’ll warn Peter not to mess things up or he’ll be slapped with obstruction of justice charges.
There’s no guarantee that’ll relate to Shiloh’s case, but it makes sense considering Peter just became Shiloh’s secret helper. General Hospital spoilers say the pressure will definitely rev up for Peter soon. Next, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will seek Jasper “Jax” Jacks’ (Ingo Rademacher) support. She’ll fill him in on Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) desire for nontraditional schooling and hope he’s on Mom’s side.
Carly doesn’t want Joss to miss out on all high school has to offer, but Josslyn would rather just do homeschooling or some sort of tutoring program. Oscar Nero Quartermaine’s (Garren Stitt) changed her, so she’s not keen on the trivial issues associated with high school life. It wouldn’t be the same without Oscar there anyway.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) suggested Josslyn should go back to school as planned, but he noted they could revisit the topic if Joss wasn’t happy. However, Carly may think Jax should have a chat with Joss and make her see the light. She won’t think their daughter should run away from her problems, but Jax might feel like Sonny has the right idea. Josslyn has been through a lot, so it wouldn’t hurt to compromise.
Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will get updates on Joss’ plans and have a mini freak-out. He’ll hate the thought of not having Josslyn to talk to in between classes and in the cafeteria. Cameron will likely tell Josslyn how much he’d miss her, so perhaps that’ll shift her view eventually.
Over with Ava Jerome (Maura West), she’ll be in agony as she faces an unforgiving Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin). Kiki will be cold to her remorseful mother, so Ava will insist Kiki should just tell her what to do. She’ll be at the end of her rope, so she’ll want Kiki to finally help her find a path to peace.
Alas, closure doesn’t seem to be in the cards for Ava just yet. While Ava’s tormented by Kiki her dreams, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will hear about Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) diverted flight. Drew handled the Afghanistan money situation, but he delayed his trip home so he could track down Dr. Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery).
Andre is currently in Ethiopia according to Curtis Ashford’ (Donnell Turner) lead, so Drew will try to find him. Sadly, Drew won’t make it back home anytime soon – or maybe ever. It seems Drew may be presumed dead as a result of this mission. General Hospital could always bring the character back later, but Drew’s done for now.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will bring Jason up to speed on Drew’s latest efforts and hope for the best. Unfortunately, a disturbing email will hit her inbox. Sam should have serious concerns whether this relates to Drew or not!
