General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, August 26, tease that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will get some startling news. She’s currently ailing in the hospital, and on Monday, it will become clearer not only what she’s afflicted with, but where the illness came from.
As GH viewers know, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) was startled to see the results from Sasha’s latest round of tests, and on Monday’s episode he’ll be letting it all sink in when Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) asks him if her illness can be treated.
Well, what Finn will have just discovered is that Sasha is suffering from a deadly strain of the avian flu that humans rarely contract. He’ll be truly baffled at how Sasha could have come in contact with the avian flu, and while he’ll be relieved that the disease won’t readily spread, he’ll probably realize pretty quickly that Sasha must have been deliberately infected.
But soon, it seems that the mystery surrounding where Sasha came into contact with the virus will become all too clear. According to GH spoilers, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will get a startling text on Monday’s episode.
It appears that she’ll receive a photo from none other than Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck), which will almost certainly be the group selfie that Cassandra – who was posing as “Sandy Lance” – took with Sasha and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) when they were in Puerto Rico.
Nina will reel from the photo, and Sasha will probably quickly confirm that the woman in then photo is the American tourist that she and Michael met in Puerto Rico. From there, Nina, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), and Finn will know exactly what happened and why Sasha was targeted…to hurt Nina and retaliate since Nina was responsible for Cassandra’s coma.
Of course, all of this will probably come as a big blow to Sasha, who was targeted because she’s allegedly Nina’s flesh and blood. Sasha may find herself feeling angry about the whole thing – after all, her life is now at risk because she’s pretending to be someone she’s not.
It should make for an interesting situation going forward, because if Sasha gets to the point where she actually believes she’s dying, she might feel the need to come forward and tell Nina the truth about not being her daughter…something that Valentin has vowed to never let happen.
Meanwhile, on the new episode of GH on Monday, August 26, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will have some clear intentions. In Monday’s GH preview, he and Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) will sit down for a chat regarding their big plan. It looks like Hayden will be wondering how Jax’s date with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) went, and Jax will give updates.
Hayden may be wondering about whether Liesl was satisfied enough from the date to leave them alone about their plan against Valentin and keep the secret about Hayden snooping around Wyndemere. But it looks like Jax may have a plan in mind to bring Liesl into the partnership as an ally.
As GH viewers know, Valentin isn’t Liesl’s favorite person in the world, and she could be very useful to Jax and Hayden if they play their cards right.
Since Liesl lives at Wyndemere, she could actually be quite helpful in looking for whatever Jax and Hayden are looking for in the castle, provided that they are willing to risk telling her what they’re so keen on finding there. Would they consider bringing Liesl into the plan? Time will tell, but knowing Liesl, she’s going to find out what they’re after anyway!
