General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) has some baby drama in her future. She’s been terrified that something like this would happen, which was a huge giveaway that it actually would. Carly will soon find out there’s some risk involved in her pregnancy. Her baby’s life could be in jeopardy – and so could Carly’s!
Of course, GH fans have to wonder what the point of this storyline. It has to be about more than adding to Carly and Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) brood. From the moment Carly learned she was pregnant, Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) name has repeatedly come up. It’s possible this baby story is about setting up Morgan’s comeback, albeit with a recasted actor – or at least will incorporate a return down the road.
Bryan Craig is busy with other projects, but it’s probably time for the show to go ahead and recast anyway. There are plenty of young hunks who would be great as Morgan. Regardless, it makes sense for General Hospital to finally pull the trigger on this. Carly’s risky pregnancy could easily spark Morgan’s reappearance.
There would be several ways for GH to make this happen. If they didn’t want Morgan long-term, Carly could linger between life and death after a shocking medical issue. It might be Morgan’s spirit who pushes Carly to return to her loved ones and be a mother to her new baby. They could always argue it was just a dream if they opt for a longer Morgan stint later.
Then again, there’s no guarantee the baby will survive. If Carly finds herself facing crushing grief all over again, perhaps Morgan will come back from the dead to turn things around. Carly and Sonny would certainly deserve some light at the end of the tunnel. GH has been dropping major hints about the trouble to come, so we should hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
Even so, we can’t rule out the idea that Carly’s baby will survive AND Morgan will return in the flesh. Wouldn’t it be nice to see the Corinthos clan whole and happy? Morgan could even pop back up just in time for Carly’s birth. General Hospital spoilers say anything’s possible since this pregnancy’s so out of left field. GH writers threw “CarSon” a curveball, so they may have some coming up for fans, too.
