Grey’s Anatomy continues with the severe wind storm that is endangering and entangling many of the people within Grey Sloan Memorial. Levi (Jake Borelli) trapped in an ambulance and having sex with Nico (Alex Landi), trying to survive the storm. Inside the hospital, the lights have flickered and several people are trapped inside elevators.

Amelia (Caterina Scorscone) is trapped with Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Teddy (Kim Raver) when she learns that Teddy is pregnant and Owen’s father. Amelia begins pressing buttons, while Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) is trapped in another elevator with Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti), feeling they need to get out of there as they have a transplant waiting for them; she won’t reveal to him why she is so desperate to get out.

Maggie (Kelly McCreary) explains to Jackson (Jesse Williams) that she couldn’t go on without telling and his mother didn’t tell him. Jackson admits he has never felt less like a doctor in his entire life. Maggie has to deal with CeCe’s (Caroline Clay) pressure dropping and Jackson tells her to go. Maggie delegates tasks, but when Qadri (Sophia) goes into OR2 there is no organs to grab for the transplant. In their own elevator, Miranda (Chandra Wilson) informs Taryn (Jaicy Elliot) that they are not trapped, but delayed. Miranda yells at Taryn, saying no one is having a panic attack, but it doesn’t work as they both begin screaming for help.

Teddy says she has known for a while and been in town for weeks, but before their discussion can go on any further, their patient crashed and they have to make the elevator an OR. Amelia is taken aback at how well Teddy and Owen work, even saying the same things at the same time.

Alex (Justin Chambers) can’t relax and needs to get there; initially, Jo (Camilla Luddington) says they are on their honeymoon, but he tells her everyone is trapped. She can’t go with him though because she is drunk.

Meredith tells DeLuca to stop looking at him, so he stands right beside her, suggesting that they probably started the surgery and only needs a surgeon, not a phenomenal one like Meredith. He distracts her by talking about a child story. Richard (James Pickens Jr.) shouts at maintenance, ordering him to get the fire department down there to get the elevators working. He is frustrated further when Catherine (Debbie Allen) doesn’t answer her phone.

Betty (Peyton Kennedy) is waiting for Amelia, so Richard says he is antsy saying they both need to remain busy and takes her with him; saying they can make themselves useful. Jackson can’t reach his mom as Qadri interrupts him, explaining how CeCe is on the table while the patient with the organs is stuck in an elevator. The maintenance man is frustrated with people asking him to open the elevators, only saying it will take time to reset.

Bailey continues to calm down Taryn is panicking, but finally admits everything she is saying is “made up” and if their brains make thing imagine such horrible scenarios is it not possible to think of good ones? Taryn talks Miranda through her attack.

In the other elevator, Teddy talks about how she came to town to reveal the truth, but then saw Owen had created his own little family. After that they return to the procedure they are doing, leaving Amelia in awe about how well they mesh together. Meanwhile, DeLuca talks about the difference between His dad being a doctor and Meredith’s mother – she got awards, while he got acquittals. She offers a shoulder to lean on as DeLuca explains to her, in Italian that his father was mentally ill and while in a manic phase he operated on 7 patients and 4 of them died because of it; but because of his money and friends, he got away with everything. Then he shares sweet stories of being on the motorbike and laying under the stars. Meredith smiles as he says he finally told someone; stands up asking if he believes there is a trap door up there.

Alex jumps into the ambulance and catches, Levi and Nico getting dressed; he tells them both to get back into the hospital… NOW!

Owen and Teddy are performing in sync, while Teddy says her and Owen are off the table and he should stay with Amelia. This surgery is going well, considering how “military” style is it. Betty talks to Richard about sobriety, but he suggests she take it one day at a time and she must never think she is alone. Richard gets a call as Betty wants to go back to the ER to see what she can do.

Qadri, Jackson, and Link (Chris Carmack) are determined to get the elevator open as Link begins to rip the doors apart. Jackson tells maintenance (Will Sasso) if he doesn’t help him get the doors open and save CeCe he will be fired, but he loves CeCe as she introduced him to someone and she is the joy of his life. Together they rip the door open, just as Alex arrives on the scene.

While they work on a patient, Teddy reveals she is 16 weeks pregnant and all the appointments are going well. Meanwhile, DeLuca holds up Meredith, but she thinks she only found a keyhole; she slides back down. She says this is a bad idea as she is a physician and he is an attending. She suggests he go back to speaking Italian as she liked it better when he finishes she smiles and speaks back in Italian, revealing she took it for 3 years in college.

The elevator door opens, just as Amelia tells Teddy they all have children at stake here. Link is able to get Taryn out with Meredith’s encouragement; they all begin to leave when the Hospital maintenance worker says he will be fine and wants them to save CeCe, but the elevator begins to shift downward and he begins to get crushed.

Jackson, Alex, and Link are able to stop it, as Jackson promises that they have him; good thing he didn’t see the way the doctors exchanged a look.

Levi and Nico walk into a bed with blood all along the floor. CeCe knows this is not a normal amount of time to wait in the OR and she is frightened; suggesting it would be easy for her to hear about Maggie and Jackson. She opens up that they could fall apart at any moment. CeCe knows that she doesn’t feel safe and in her experience, that means one of two things: either he is terrible for you or he is so good for you, you’re scared of losing him. CeCe’s vitals drop and Maggie calls for a crash cart.

Alex comes into the OR informing them about the elevator guy. Miranda tells him to take over this procedure as she needs to do that one. Amelia is left at the sidelines as Owen and Teddy perform surgery; Owen and Amelia’s exchange disappointed looks as she walks out of the room.

Jackson doesn’t want to amputate, saying the nerves are crushed and he wants to save his leg. Jackson, fed up, saying to the doctor if he isn’t going to fix the femurs than he should let his fellow give it a shot. He jumps into gear about everything that needs to be made with metal.

Owen learns that Teddy doesn’t want him to be involved with the baby, but wants to. She says they will figure this all out as Owen smiles, hugging her as he says, “We are going to have a baby!” He kisses her forehead and says they will sort this all out, causing Teddy to cry.

CeCe is finally getting her transplants with a massive team of supportive medical staff. Maggie has her taken off bypass and it starts beating on its own. Meredith says its time to start on her kidney.

Richard finds Betty snooping through everything, asking if she came back only to steal drugs. She begs for him not to tell Amelia and wants to leave, but he says if he lets her go that would make him a horrible doctor.

Back in the OR, CeCe’s rhythm is failing and they think of ways to save her. Miranda heads to her office where she sends out a text to Ben, dealing with her extremely shaking hand. Alex chastises her about forcing her to do that, but she admits she was the one in crisis and couldn’t chance to nick that patient. She breaks down crying, begging him not to quit as she needs his help. He holds her as she sobs, even after she gets a message from Ben that he is fine, wondering if she is okay. Alex promises he isn’t going anywhere.

The entire OR is pleading for CeCe to survive, as they repeatedly shock her heart. Meredith talks to CeCe, saying she nearly kissed the Italian one and might kiss the other one too, She’s unsure she will ever fall in love again, but she is happier than she’s had in a long time and when she does, she hears CeCe’s voice. Meredith covers her face and thanks her for everything as Taryn cries from the observation room.

Owen meets with Amelia at the stairs, who doesn’t want his apology but should have said to take condoms. She really wanted him to be happy with Teddy. He tries to tell her that nothing is going on with him and Teddy and things will work themselves out, but Amelia knows better as this is Teddy and she is pregnant with his baby. She tells him that Teddy is an option, so Ameilia is going to give him time to consider his options.

The nurses and doctors call him a hero as Jackson tells the Maintenance worker that he does have legs underneath all this stuff; they let him hear the blood flow and see there is nerve reaction, which gives them hope.

Alex talks to Levi and Nico, saying what happened today cannot happen again; suggesting they think and what other rooms they could have used. Richard watches as Betty talks to Amelia who has gotten her into a rehab facility. Betty agrees to try.

Neither Jackson nor Richard has spoken to Catherine, so Maggie takes her father’s hand as Jackson suggests they speak in private. Owen comes home with Leo but promises that although it is quiet, things will be great.

Meredith catches DeLuca coming off the elevator. She is upset about CeCe, as she really liked her as he notes that she took the elevator and doesn’t learn from her mistakes. She wants to know when he got so cocky and he says when he realized that she likes him as much as he does. Before they can finish this, Link walks up trying to talk about a date, but Meredith stops them saying it has been a long day and she is going home to see her kids, promising to see “you” later, as she points to both men.

THE END!
