Tonight on CBS their reboot of the classic series Magnum P.I. premieres with an all-new Monday, April 1, 2019, episode and we have your Magnum P.I. recap below. On tonight’s Magnum P.I. season 1 episode 20, “In the Season 1 finale, Hannah, Magnum’s ex and the fugitive responsible for him and his SEAL team brothers being POWs for years, shows up at his home with a gunshot wound, and wanting his help to find her missing CIA father whose life is in danger.
Also, Magnum makes an earnest proposition to Higgins for her to become his private investigations partner.”

Magnum hangs Higgins a $100 bill for help with his latest case. She laughs at him. She knows he made more. While they are talking about it, he asks her to be his partner. She tells him she has a lot going on. He pushes for more information. She was gone last week. Higgins isn’t sharing. They arrive home to see several officers. They arrest Magnum, hauling him away in cuffs.
At the station, the lead officer shows Magnum on video using counterfeit money. They think he is wasting money. He explains that he recently made all the money on a case. Outside, Higgins, TC, and Rick wait. Katsumoto shows up to help too. He demands to talk to Magnum who is headed out with the officers to his client’s house.
When they arrive the door is open. Several men are dead on the floor with a pile of bills on the side table. They bring Magnum in. He IDs one of them as his client. There is one gun on the floor. Katsumoto shows up with Higgins. This is a case for HPD. They uncut Magnum. They give him 2 hours to figure out what is going on. All three of them assess the house. Magnum tells Katsumoto about his client who was looking for someone.
Magnum and Higgins hit the road again. If his client was a counterfeiter why give bills to Magnum? Higgins thinks he may have got it from someone else. When they arrive home they come into Kamu being held at gunpoint by Hannah who has been shot and his bleeding. She confesses she killed Magnum’s client and now she needs more information from him. She falls to the ground weakly. He phone Katsumoto. She tells him she will share everything if he hangs up. He does.
Magnum calls his local doctor friend. She needs his help. She agrees to come. He calls TC and Rick to come over. Now he wants the truth.
The guys arrive. Higgins too. They are all mad Hannah is here passed out on the couch while the doctor works on her. Magnum fills them in – her father is being held, prisoner. To get him back she needs a bunch of Iraqi gold. Now she wants help. Katsumoto calls. Magnum doesn’t tell him anything. TC, Rick, and Higgins are angry. Why is he protecting her? He explains that he needs answers so he is going to find Pock, a man she was going to trade to get her father back. They all agree to help.
Higgins gets to researching. Magnum comes in. They talk. He explains further that he needs answers. He almost married Hannah.
Hannah comes to. She sees an angry Rick and Kamu. Rick lets her have it, telling him he cannot believe what she did to all of them and to Magnum especially. She explains that she was desperate to help her father and still is.
Higgins thinks she knows where Pock is. Magnum tells Hannah they are going to help her but she has to swear she is telling the truth.
Magnum and Higgins head out to an old abandoned bus in the woods where they think Pock is. They find a man tied up. They show him a photo. He recognizes Pock as the man who did this to them.
Up in the chopper, Higgins, TC, and Magnum search the island. Katsumoto calls and breaks the news that Hannah is tied to all of this, unaware Magnum knows and has been working the case. Magnum plays dumb. Moments later they find their guy in a chopper in the sky trying to leave the island. They chase them eventually forcing them to land. They broker a deal, Pock for Hannah’s dad.
Katsumoto knocks on the door looking for Magnum at the house. Rick answers. Katsumoto wants to know where Hannah is. He tracked her here. They head inside. She’s gone. They call Magnum. He still wants to help her father even if she might not be trustworthy.
Magnum, Rick, TC, and Higgins head to make the exchange. Two cars of armed men pull up. They don’t know if Pock is who he says he is. They try to go back on their deal. The dispute breaks out in gunfire. Hannah comes out of nowhere. She takes out one guy but gets shot in the chest. Magnum runs to her and holds her. She apologizes to him before dying. Her father watches from a distance, crying. TC, Rick, and Higgins run to them.
They all meet up with Katsumoto. He is angry with Magnum for lying. Magnum tells him he will earn his trust back. Magnum thanks the guys and Higgins for all the help.
