The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that one Newman is set to be spared in the great Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) vs. the Newman myth war. He recently warned the whole family that he intended to take them all down, but he left out one important exception: Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). It turns out Adam doesn’t have the same level of rage for his youngest sister.
In the episode airing August 28, Adam suggests Abby’s not trying to mess with him, which means he doesn’t want to mess with her. Abby gets a pass in his book, so we want to know what you think about that. Should Adam be going after Abby right along with the other Newmans? It’s tricky since caught in the middle of this fierce family battle.
Of course, this reinforces a major Y&R theme with Abby. She’s never treated like a real Newman. Abby’s always been more of an Abbott girl, so leaving her out of the Newman war backs that up.
Abby Newman Last To Know Adam Newman Was Alive
When Adam came back from the “dead,” Abby was the last to know. She’s always an afterthought for the Newman clan, so it makes sense that Adam’s letting her slide.
Abby also intends to work with Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) on this Grand Phoenix partnership. It looks like Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will ultimately finagle her way into that somehow, too. She’s faced some setbacks, but she’s still got some fight left in her. Where there’s a will, there’s a way as far as Phyllis is concerned.
As for Adam, he’s joined forces with Phyllis and wants to stay on good terms with Chelsea. Since they’ll be mixed up in all this hotel business, it’s probably a good idea to leave Abby out of this war like he plans. However, Abby may be tempted to support Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and her other siblings in a big way. If she goes too far, Abby could certainly make it on Adam’s take-down list.
Does Abby Newman Deserve To Go Down Like Everyone Else?
Abby’s attitude alone might make some fans want her to be part of the chaos. She may not be targeting Adam, but she seems to hate him just like Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) do. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby may find herself in an increasingly complicated situation, so it’ll be interesting to see how she handles it.
Does Abby deserve to go down along with the rest of the Newmans? Is Adam right to cut Abby a break or would you rather watch her face drama?
