The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, November 29, teases that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will make a pitch to Summer Newman (Hunter King). He’ll do his best to convince Summer that she should be at the Newman Thanksgiving gathering. Summer will agree to pop in before the night’s over.
Summer also ask about Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), but Nick won’t be sure of his girlfriend’s plans. He’ll grip about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) taking advantage of the situation with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and refuse to stand for it.
At Adam’s penthouse, he won’t be on board with Chelsea taking Connor to the ranch for the get-together. Chelsea will feel like it’s be good for Connor, so she’ll indeed take the boy over. Once Adam’s alone, he’ll get a visit from Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). The outcasts will enjoy a Thanksgiving meal that consists of Chinese takeout and plenty of alcohol.
As they eat, Phyllis will grumble about Chelsea getting off easy. She’ll be irritated that everyone keeps coming for her while Chelsea gets a pass. Phyllis will also confess that Simon Black (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) messed up her plans for that security software. However, she’ll be grateful that Adam’s still alive and kicking this Thanksgiving.
Adam will wonder what Phyllis is really up to, but she’ll suggest this visit is a mission of mercy. Phyllis will contend that she’s out of the scheming business like Adam. After Adam admits there are worse ways to spend a holiday, Phyllis will find that touching. Y&R spoilers say they’ll share a toast while the Newman gathering gets underway across town.
At the ranch, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will hope that Connor can make it. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will assume Chelsea will be the deciding factor on that. Once Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) appear, they’ll mention that the kids scampered down to the stables. Victor will needle Billy about leaving his job at Jabot, so Victoria will apologize to her almost hubby.
After Nick and Chelsea show up, they’ll relay that Connor and Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) have joined Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) and Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare). Since Victor’s in good health now and has been approved to travel, Nikki and Victor will want everyone to come on a trip to Switzerland soon. Chelsea won’t be comfortable with Connor spending that much time away from Adam. She’ll end up leaving the room awkwardly with Nick, so the others will discuss the tension.
Summer will make it to the gathering in time for dessert. She’ll ask about Connor and suggest she’s there for Chelsea if she needs anything. Meanwhile, Nikki will talk to Nick about how Victor’s priorities have shifted. Victor will also greet Summer and learn she’s mostly forgiven him for deceiving her. The Young and the Restless spoilers say this grandfather and granddaughter will share a sweet hug.
Afterward, Nikki will encourage everyone to reveal what they’re thankful for this year. Once each person speaks, there’ll be kisses between the couples – except for Nick and Chelsea. They’ll still be battling the same Adam-related tension. Later, Chelsea will give Adam updates on the good time Connor had at the ranch. Adam will think Chelsea made the right decision by taking him.
Chelsea will also notice the two glasses, so Adam will mention that Phyllis stopped by with Chinese food. When Adam asks if Chelsea’s going back to Nick’s place, she’ll suggest she thought she’d stay at Adam’s tonight. Chelsea will steal another glance at the glasses before she heads to bed. Over with Nick, he’ll get a text about Chelsea spending the night at Adam’s penthouse.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will get ready for her annual Thanksgiving meal for the homeless. She’ll talk to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) about it before Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) arrives to pitch in. Sharon wasn’t expecting Mariah, so it’ll be a nice surprise. Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will also want to help during their work break.
After Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) arrives to serve as well, Nate will compliment her on the apron. He’ll be thankful that Amanda helped him keep his medical license so he can keep doing what he loves. Talk will turn to Amanda’s family, but she’ll mention that they’re not close. Mariah will once again be unnerved by the sight of Amanda. As for Elena, she’ll warn Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) to stay away from Amanda the snake!
Back with Mariah, she’ll talk to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) about counting his blessings instead of his problems. Kyle will look at Lola and suggest he’s indeed got a lot of blessings to count. While Amanda chats with Rey, Nate will tell Elena that Amanda might decide to remain in Genoa City. Elena will fly off the handle and argue that Nate is getting played.
After Elena leaves in a huff, Nate will note that he could pass along a real estate agent’s name to Amanda. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda will mention having a new phone number. She had to make the change since she was getting so many annoying calls.
Once the event’s over, Rey will praise Sharon for giving it a real spirit of generosity. They’ll dance together as the night winds down. It sounds like a busy episode’s coming up, so stay tuned!
